Gene:"Darn it all said Mr. Tex. My marriage has a dreadful hex. My wife will because my ex if she don't stop demanding-" Patti: My best friend Rex. Others: *Laugh and clap* Me: *Laughing hard*

Absolutely! To those who think she cost people a point with her jokes...lighten up, people. It's comedy!

GSN aired this episode just this morning at the 11AM Eastern hour.

He was off directing a play at the time. Gary sat in his spot for a few months while he was away. But if Brett had given Patti's answer, trust me. Charles would have made a big to-do about it being rotten.

This was a few days (later in the same taping day) after Gary Burghoff missed the first show of the week, causing Johnny Olson to fill in.

I liked my best friend rex, and checks made the most sense. But, the funniest answer was sex.

Not a limerick but a funny quatrain. Patti's answer was funny! but sex IS the definitive answer perhaps. Re: Leslie's hair...some folks start going gray in their teens and twenties. Maybe he was one of them.
