Yea....I'M TELLING YOU....SO MANY OF THESE CONTESTANTS TELL SOME LIES OR EXAGGERATE. So many say they can do something, but cant demonstrate it. Many claim to be from other countries but don't speak the language. There's at least one fake contestant I know of. Darlene Landon. She was on in 1976. Richard was on the Dating Game with her in 1972. He picked her and they won a trip to Jamaica. When she was on Match, they never mentioned it! You can see the video of them on the Dating Game on RU-vid. Look up "in memory of Richard Dawson- the Dating Game 1972" Darlene can be seen on Match 76, episode 717. SHE ENDS WINNING OVER $20,000. One of the biggest winners in the history of the show. This whole thing is set up.

Because he was funny. The show was about entertainment. Giving away money was incidental. Some people found him funny, others didn't. Personally, I could take him or leave him. Not overly impressed, but not worth the time to bash him.

I still enjoy the show, however. It's easy to see why and how it got to be number 1 on daytime tv. I think that has a LOT to do with Gene Rayburn - RIP
