I love how at least 1 male contestant I can think of when he picked Charles for a super match called him "Chuck" his macho alter ego which I thought was pretty cool.
I wonder if some of the CBS stations did air the syndicated Match Game did the same thing what the flag ship station WCBS did air those in aired Match Game 79 episodes because I remember my local CBS affiliate WSAW TV in Wausau aired match game I remember watching it in the summer of 1979 and in Friday nights at 6:30 They aired Match Game PM. According to Wikipedia many CBS stations preempt Love of Life to air syndicated Match Game at 4 pm EST 3 pm central time
I wonder if the contestants on these unaired episodes actually received their winnings? I was always under the impression that an episode had to air for the contestants on that episode to actually receive their winnings.
I wouldn't be surprised..if Poor Gene Rayburn..got angry when the show quickly and without any notice got cancelled for that stupid nonsense that Mr.Tom Kennedy hosted"Whew"..which I've seen on CBS TV and it was a damn disgrace.
Noo, they knew the end was near and had already started making plans for MGSynd, finding markets that wanted to buy and air it. They knew they had been on the bubble, every 13 week renew for another 13 weeks I thank, far too many times that it was just a matter of time before CBS pulled them.
