Those kits Arsenal and Liverpool are classics. Umbro always knew how to make kits to clubs tradition. Arsenal reverted back to full red socks as opposed to those hooped year before of red and navy
Apart from the lovely goal by Dalglish, which I’ve seen so many times, the best thing here is the tussle between Sansom and Lee, and their reaction to it. Good to see. (From about 22:25 or so.)
This is real Physical Fooball, hard Tackling & competitive challenges, played on a decent surface, with a good ( not to hard) but balanced Mitre Football! But if u prefer today's fayre( I call it ' Reality Tv' football) then what can I say!
@@JohnJohn-zn8ib Agreed, todays game is Phony BS,& the players are Athletes but lack skill, can't take a Tackle and couldn't care less about the team they play for, because they're earning crazy sums for being mediocre!
Wolves and Birmingham would both be relegated that season. Kenny Dalglish with one of the all time great goals. In front of a packed out Highbury. One of the reasons why I prefer this to modern football.
Thank God you’re back I love these videos wonderful memories and great days going to Anfield to see Liverpool conquer all before them also some wonderful Football for many other teams keep up the good work
The classic Kenny Dalglish turn and pearler into top right hand corner was endlessly played on BBC shows for years. Remember watching this back in day and loved Bob Wilson with his round up on this show and doing Football Focus.
Thanks and compliments on this excellent Dead Good Match/Match of the Day episode. Great games featuring vintage Liverpool with Rush and the master Kenny Dalglish also fine midlands derby in a lovely Molyneaux stadium. Great commentaries from John Motson and Barry Davies. It truly is football heaven on your wonderful channel!
1983 WAS JUST ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC WASN'T IT? THAT YELLOW STRIP MUST BE LIVERPOOL'S KIT.A BEAUTIFUL STRIP.1983 EH! AW.WHEN IT WAS ALL SO GOOD AND WE NEVER EVEN GAVE ANYTHING A SECOND THOUGHT ! NOW,THERE'S A NEWS ARTICLE AND DOCUMENTARY FOR EVERY SINGLE PROBLEM IN THE BOOK ISN'T THERE?
Years ago, I remember seeing an interview with Gray where he stated he felt he was stagnating a bit at Wolves just before he joined Everton, and you can certainly see it in this game. He seems totally out of sorts.
