What many analysts fail to acknowledge is that Boks can and will get much better. We are new to Tony's tactics but it will work out when other teams catch up we would have fixed our schoolboy errors
Blaming the refs after each loss has become an All Black trait now, it's to be expected. Not only are you losing games, you are losing reputation by doing this. The only reason I tolerate this behavior is because of the history we share. You are turning into England, not a good look.
Look, if you told me a day after the ABs beat the Springboks 57-0 that the Boks were gonna win 2 world cups, beat the British Lions, and then win 4 games against the Abs in a row I would have laughed at you. As a Saffa I’m just soaking it in because it’s one crazy ride. But it also shows when you in the dumps it doesn’t mean it’s all over. This ABs team is growing, and IS looking good for where they are in the building phase. I think they gonna be a different beast next year. I just hope that SA can keep the consistency over the coming years.
Wait I am laughing at the New Zealanders thinking that their players kick to give possession away. That's not the case the SA defence is so intense that nothing is on and knowing that one mistake in your 22 will lead to points against you
It’s that waiting period for us AB’s supporters. Losing and All Blacks don’t go together and yet we find ourselves with 4 in a row vs the Boks. They’re simply in a more complete phase 🤷🏾♂️ but.. if the AB’s are this close while rebuilding, it makes me excited for what’s to come. Plus a lot of young players have definitely stood up: Williams, Vaai, Sititi, Blackadder, Ratima, Clarke, Proctor.
Both the Springboks and All Blacks have plenty to improve upon. Boks are not executing well yet, hopefully their skills will improve and match their intent. All Blacks in particular Razor is still searching for his best combinations, only then will it come together. Expect a continued experimentation on selections from both teams, and hopefully at some point the injured will return.
springboks doing to the all blacks, what the all blacks used to do to the springboks. now you know what we felt like during those years 😉 dont forget, we also used to just-just lose to the mccaw all blacks -before our wheels came off completely around 2016. frustrating as hell. dont beat yourself or the abs up, though. with hindsight, that was the best team in the world and there was no (ok, maybe not "no", but little) shame in losing to them. i think in the future we'll look back at this springbok team, in the same light. another thing to keep in mind, the abs have had a coaching change and thus there are some teething problems, BUT the springboks are playing a completely new, attacking-focused game. almost the antithesis of what we used to do. if we cast our minds back to when andy farrell took over the irish gig, there were calls for his head after his first year or so, because the irish werent "great". once everything clicked into place, though, they became almost impossible to play. farrell lost a number of games in the beginning. the boks are busy with such a play change right now...but still managing to beat the best teams in the world while transitioning. once that attack-focused play clicks into place (because we're still quite a ways off), the boks will be "unplayable" like the abs of old, like the irish of the last couple of years...but with a brutal forwards pack. rugby world BEWARE! 😤😀 anyway, good game in the end. a little hard to watch, as you mentioned, but its nice to be on the winning side (against these tight abs matches) for a change.
The Cook (1995), Referees and Mistakes.....come on!!!!! Just say well done. We respect and love the AB's here in SA.....and although never nice to lose in the final few minutes.....time and time again the AB's achieved many such victories over us. Pressure = Mistakes...Have you ever seen players and supporters united, regardless results, like in the last 2 years???? Maybe the Boks got better and AB'S remained great in the last few years!!!
To me 3 key areas for ABs to look at 1) relook at your offshore player policy, its a narrow view NZ is taking on this 2) Rugby is a 23 man game these days, NZ needs to get to grips with it 3) AB mid field combination has been problematic for a while now and Ardea needs to move to flank

Great Video AB's aren't tht far-off & Razor's AB's just need a little more time it's a fairly Young-Team with a lot of New Personell so the more they play together the more the understanding will grow + the more confidence will grow too..... Boks, though, are also no at there best + are still growing as we made a lot of mistakes last-wk + this week (all U hve-to do is look at line-outs + turn-overs for this Game) + although we were good in patches Boks still developing their Game when it cme's-to Tony Brown's influence but still a little too much handling errors not sure if tht was also due-to AB's defense-system being strong but still too many handling errors!!!!
Both teams can be better, the pressure in these close games is tough, and more often than not it's the team that handles that better will win. Thanks for watching.
Two key areas that i see that was missing,was the All Black's physicality,a must and a need for all wanna be All Black's to beef up and tune in or muscle up a bit, and the other area is their fitness they need to raise the level above where the previous All Black's use to be,, and then i believe things will happen 👍

Your analysis was good except in my opinion it was not a "hard watch". Two exceptional teams and mistakes are as a result of pressure from the opposition. As a proud Capetonian it was also great to see our crowd respect the Haka.We just have better squad depth right now

They are such gentleman and play great rugby! They will get to winning ways again- no doubt! But win or lose the unwritten rule is never blame the ref
Time, depth and talent is not on the All Blacks side at this point in time. When i say talent i mean the supreme level of talent that was so evident during their golden era. The current AB's are good but will need time to settle and grow as a team. AB's are NEVER down and out. AB supporters need to take a breath and support their boys.
From a Bok supporter in Durban I loved your honest review compared to a certain Jeff Wilson... Bt what's scary is that the Boks will not be happy with there 2 performances... To many miss tackles..penalties..there line outs were not great. I bt they still managed victories over there old foes which shows there class and experience as the No. 1 nation in the world at the moment... No doubt The All Blacks will overpower the Aussies in there last 2 games.
I disagree I think SA is way better. Nothing th Abs have thrown are any answers. The scoreboard flatters the Abs but it could have been way higher for SA had the game ketps on the ABs felt at times like playing mot to loose by just taking 3 points. After rewatching this they never took control of the mstch. Kolbe going for a drop goal in the last attack was a missed opportunity that could have been a try. The ABs used to do this to us, so we know the feelin and feel sorry for you guys, but these are dark days for the ABs the backline is not a threat anymore, I hope to see you guys back but the narrative of the ABs being close to SA is off. Even rewatching the match of Ellis Park showed dominance but only 60min it's like watching Sctoland in the older days. Anyway mad respect to your rugby and it's legacy from SA. You guys are the old foe. Goodmouck rebuilding.
Boks played 2 games against Abs...rotating players with each game having a different team almost..making too many mistakes in both games and not playing anywhere near our potential, guys struggling to find each other with the pops and communication....so cant see how you can judge well enough to say how far we are infront....also used all the rugby championship games to blood different combos and new players😂😂
Right now rugby is played by 23 men for razor to not empty his bench is concerning he has to learn this isnt super rugby this is a different level. But as a Abs supporter we not use to losing and that why everyone is hurting but the future looks ominous the boks are an aging team and if any sa supporter says yea yea but rassie is building depth , i ask you how do you replace a bongi , malherbe, pstd,etelzebeth , pollard, kolisi these guys are irreplaceable and the ones coming on for them is not on their level
This all blacks side is not a quality side. There are good players here and there but they are not a good side yet. When this coach took charge I immediately thought for Robbie “Dingo” Deans and Heyneke Meyer. Good Super rugby coaches don’t always translate into successful international coaches. It’s too early to tell if Robinson is the right man for the job. On the other side, the All Blacks were not humiliated. They competed for 130 mins out of 160. Yes, they lost some good players since the World Cup, they can only improve from here if Robinson is the right man. The Springboks shouldn’t be too happy about these close encounters. Still got better results than how they went against Ireland, but they did not play better in this series. There is room for improvement. This ABs side is not that good and the Springboks should have put them away. They are also building with a few new faces and trying new things. They should only improve from here.
I am not understanding people. Did everyone watch the Jhb Test? Did you see the intensity there?? Cape Town was even more intense and ferocious, almost WC Final like with AB's trying to take every penalty point they could upfront and Boks risking life and limb to "thou shalt not pass!". Monster tackles, defence, rucks, mauls, carries... and then people bitch about handling errors and fluidity? This was a feckin TEST MATCH between the biggest EVER rivals in the history of all rugby. This wasn't a feckin Arg vs Aus exhibition joke. If you felt the intensity 14 hrs away in NZ or Aus, can you IMAGINE what the players felt? If this level of rugby is hard to watch, maybe 15's rugby is NOT for some people and y'all rather stick to 7's or pickle-ball. Case in point... DMack would NOT have missed those pens if he felt zero pressure... THAT is the jeopardy and awe of these clashes... where the pressure and weight will chew you up and spit you out if you can't make good yourself on throwing that Haka out. AB's will be effin deadly going forward, no question, just a matter of time in the hottest forge... but for now my beloved Boks are riding the bell-curve and we will enjoy it for as long as it lasts.
Mate, u talk such nonsense! The boks played at best 6/10, changed to a 5/3 split so no bomb squad & we played a completely different game ie more expansive. The ABs were playing their best, boks playing not gr8vat all yet we still win 😅
ABs are cooked Razor looks lost players are struggling three loses great start to new coach, lost championship lost backs coach, and we haven't even got started, no excuses thats why i play league Kiwi baby all day rugby aint our national game time to switch codes mate haha
@@ntlearningcredit where credit is due NZ were good at the start before the whistle- at the dancing bit that is the caveman prancing stuff and all that macho carry on. SA do their talking on the field NZ couldn't live with the Boks in the last 20 mins physically.
