I'm talking about the Charizard line as a whole - we've all seen the Indigo League anime, I know that Charmander was dying on a rock after Gary left him in the rain, the point still stands that it nearly died in the rain but can fight under water. 2. I know what it's based on, I also know that in European history mythical animals like the basilisk, salamander and dragon were all considered crawling things and were often depicted as dragons in drawings and literature. Dragons were meant to be rare and powerful in gen 1 so they couldn't make a starter dragon type without creating an imbalance between the starters but Charizard is still a dragon the same way Gyarados is. It was a joke but you had to turn this into a history lesson lol.

Your probably close on the numbers. The only thing is the more hp your target has the more damage you do and that practice dummy has a shitload of hp so the numbers will be consistent but not even close to accurate

If you see most evolution lines it is based on animals. Example tododile is based of crocodile. Squirtle line is based on a turtle. This same scenario applies also to the charmendar.

First of all charizard isn't a dragon because charmander is based on fire salamanders and they followed that throughout the whole line, second gyarados isn't a Chinese dragon more of a Chinese serpent because when a dragon looses its dragon status it becomes a flying serpent, third yeah, grounded pokemon would have a disadvantage against flying pokemon but it's turn based so they're basically standing still or if it's easy enough to avoid they will just avoid it

Urshifu is not bear type because bear type doesn't exist it's more normal and the fighting and dark/water types override normal because they're more dominant

So first of all: stored power got a buff where its movement speed buff got significantly increased and the duration of that buff also got lengthened, it got a massive passive buff and its boosted got a huge improvement, all changes that are very relevant to what makes the stored power build so strong now, its not just a "recharging time" buff, it got more than that. And we can argue about whether spoon is a problem or not all we want, but the fact of the matter is spoon is an item in the game, it has already gotten nerded once, all special attackers at this point are balanced around it, it is a buff that made a lot of them go from irrelevant to strong. And if they nerf spoon without touching stored power they are still very much nerfing stored power in practice, except they now have to rebalance the whole attacker roster. So i honestly fail to see what exactly your exact argument there is that has you this worked up? Regardless, Stored power is incredibly obnoxious to play against, people have figured out how to utilize it significantly better than when it first got added(the biggest thing is playing it with psybeam instead of future sight), it has received buffs which very much are relevant to its current power level, and in the current state of the game people are saying its a problem, looking at tournaments only seems to confirm this. I think thats a very natural thing to occurr in competitive games; people underestimate things, buffs make it better, and changes to the meta and overarching game changes also contribute to things getting better
