What made this even better was that you played this on my favorite map with the zap token being in my favorite spot both times. I believe this is a really good map for both of these fighters. The stars aligned today 👀
I’m curious on how Tomoe’s face up attack would work against Sherlock’s card that requires you to guess the opponent’s value. Does Sherlock just get to void Tomoe’s card for free?
Hyped to see matchup of the month is back! Great content as usual. Since you've been enjoying a variety of card games, I cannot recommend highly enough Netrunner. The game is now maintained by NSG, a non-profit fan organization, and it's free to play. Best card game out there imo.
Glad to see some Tesla because he is one of the heroes I am least familiar with. Just a quick question: can we really consider repulsion blast that weak of a card? the way i see it, it seems a good tool in a battle where you are trying to keep or gain the initiative (taking away one of the opposing fighter defenses/attacks and discharging both coils to take another card when you have the potential to charge with the scheme and gain an action to keep/start the agression sounds like a good play to me) it is the "worst" card of the deck but it seems like a nice tool to have around because it can turn the tables around in a really nice way and it seems to pair really well with cards like intense experimentation (as long as you have enough hand advantage and do not discharge the coils on that one). I am not overly familiar with Tesla so maybe there is something i am overlooking here (for example the best use i see for it is as a bait attack to punish the enemy and keep the hand advantage for the real one).
Repulsion can be strong sometimes but it seems very niche. When you are attacking with 2 coils there are much more powerful options. Repulsion is good for value (discards always are) but Tesla isn't typically a value fighter. Since he has no passes he doesn't have a great fatigue game and usually has the initiative. He wins by simply killing you with damage, and Repulsion doesn't play into that.
@@zeroskatr12 thanks for the clarification. I am pretty used to play characters at value game and i struggle a bit with more offensive type of heroes so it was a bit confusing to me.
@@zeroskatr12 Need to find chart with exact numbers but from top of my head, at least 4 or 5 matches was Tesla-Tomoe matchup with Tesla winning most of them. I think Tomoe won only one game. But each match was very close and could have gone either way. I reckon tesla won more cos TTA set got released in december and most players got to play some games with Tesla. Suns origin only recently arrived in Europe.
When I play Unmatched I never use the Map tokens in my games, I feel it's harder to see which character is stronger when the Map stuff massively buffs whoever is standing on them
@@zeroskatr12 Very true, and fun is all that matters. If you wanna try another interesting match up witj tesla I recommend Tesla V Winter Soldier, lots of 50/50 interactions and it could go either way. Did it the other day with my sister and was a blast
@LazyFox69 Thanks! With the Summer of Legends tourney not too far in the future I think I will wait until after that is done for a tier list. Witcher sets should be releasing towards the end of this year I believe.
Yeah unfortunately the digital edition does not have nearly a complete roster of playable characters on it. For the fighters it does have it works great, but it's just so limited.

Thanks! I would definitely recommend Tales to Amaze because you not only get 4 really cool fighters but also it comes with the Cooperative mode. But you can't go wrong with either of the Legends sets either.
