i gotta say man, MD is really good. better than what i thought going in this year. Super young but super talented. They have a legit shot at beating Bosco. BUT... Bosco got some boys on that defense. Big and physical and a little more experienced. I think that's the difference.

Centennial is still a top 10 team and if MD played like they played against Gorman the 1st half this would have been a closer game. What MD did was bully Centennial, there is no scheme for size. MD punched them in the mouth with that SEC size offensive line and then ran playaction off the run. If they play 100x and MD play like this there is really nothing Centennial can do. MD could actually run I backs and have 15 play drives if they wanted to. The Bosco game will be a challenge because they mathup in the trenches. They're trying to put the MD/Bosco game at Sofi. That would be insane.

I was pulling for Cen 10 this game given how young MD is this year. All the defections from Cen10 to Bosco may have hurt. I know they could of used Aaron Williams this game. More tape for Logan to study.. Cen 10 will be ready when CIF Playoffs are here. Lets go!

Cen10 is such a humble school and take every game as an experience to learn from. They treat each other like family. They play mater dei every year and no matter they win or loose they keep their head up high and learn from there mistakes. Let’s just wait for the heat they gonna bring!! Let’s go huskies!

. CC is a great football school but If someone transfers from MD to CC they are probably great athletes that are 3rd string MD players. I suppose their could be a rare exception of parents who moved from Santa Ana to Corona. But even then any football savvy parent will figure the college recruiting prospects are better if they keep their 1st string player at MD.

Think MD was tryna send a message here they knew cen10 was the closest game they played last year and a potential playoff game looming. Guess I was correct about MD abusing the cen10 DBs, they put up a way better fight in the trenches last year also. Other commenter is right about cen10 not coming in as hype as last year they missing some energy guys like the C #56, MD had the run and passing game on full flex pretty well all night think even if they play later in the year they will win by a few TD

I love Cen10, big fan of the program but I believe now a days I don’t think the Huskies will ever beat a St. John Bosco or Mater Dei any more. The way their offensive schemes and questionable coaching and the rotating QB’s doesn’t work against elite teams like this. The parents and other people that support Cen10 🏈 shared there thoughts to him and it seems like he doesn’t seem to care. It’s really sad smh

@@stevegatoloai2179 he's won many times with 2 QBs before, and one of the only times he went with just 1 they got burnt in 2017 cause he got hurt the round prior 2 bosco that they could have won, but then had a WR at QB. If the parents want a change and he won't budge though might not be a good sign 4 the future and more good kids going 2 cen10

Before people say MD is just talented. Cen10 made alot of mistakes in this game that could have kept the score more respectable. Also, Cen10's pregame energy wasn't the same as last years. Idk, Almost felt like the Cen10 players were a little scared of Mater Dei's aura.

California needs to split the public and private schools. It's not fair for public schools like Centennial having to go against private school prep powerhouses that can recruit and custom create their own teams and school body. Thats why public schools never win the open division or can beat the same 3 private schools (MD, SJB, DLS) when they are at top of their game. Centennial hasn't beaten any of those schools in 8 years. One of these days, public schools are going to get tired and stand up.

There is truth in what you wrote but not the whole picture. Public schools in large districts that offer school choice have tremendous advantages of the typical public school. Centennial was was crushing everyone including MD until MD stepped up recruiting through football camps and boosters paying for more scholarships.

This rule also applies to public schools that have large districts from which they can recruit. A school like La Mirada will never have a prayer against Corona Centennial. It is nauseating to read M.D boosters boast that their dominance is the result of factors such as instlling greater discipline. I don't relate to the perverse satisfaction they have.

@@lkpeay Long Beach poly hasn't beaten Mater Dei or SJB in 10 years. They've beaten Mater Dei and SJB only twice in nearly 20 years. They played De La Salle in 2001 and got beat. Then once in 2015 and got beat by 50...Centennial is the only public school that has held their own against those private schools.

Saw the SJB Bishop Amat game. I'm still going to take MD even tho they lack experience. SJB's QB is very lucky to have such a stacked team because he made some misthrows but his team bailed him out. If the talent is equal than the weaknesses will get exposed. Also, BG just destroyed one of Hawaii's best teams. I would definitely say BG is a 4 national ranking and it's not because MD is bad, it's that BG is that good this year. I heard the BG 2022 team was suppose to be their best ever. No shame in winning by only 3.

I've been following Cen10 since the Ryan Bass days in 2006. It's unusual that Cen10 has their marquee atheletes like Senior Aaron Williams being poached. You don't get to be as good as Cen10 without having depth. They have the guys. Hopefully NIL can change this. I know there are a lot of businesses in Corona, Eastvale, Ontario, and the IE that can support the Cen10 athletes.

6 for MD is way more dynamic of a pure runner than 0 is. Idk why he isn’t the featured back. Probably because of his age. My guess is he will become the starter in the next couple weeks and this offense will be even more explosive.

CC is stacked but MD is on a different level. MD's worst receiver is typically better than the best DB for the vast majority of schools. Even with a stellar performance there will be a weak link against MD's spread offense

MD has camps. Parents want their kids to be in the best situation. Any loving parent with a star athlete son would rather have their child at MD or SJB than LB Poly for good football as well as a better environment and education even though MD and SJB are not located in upscale neighborhoods. . MD and SJB Camps essentially serve as tryouts. The parents ask if they can attend and find out if the are offered scholarships and daily van pools

i will admit, i really hope that someday, a CA Public School, keyword Public School, can win a National Championship in HS football someday, finish the season ranked number 1 in the nation, i'm kind of bitter and resentful that it hasn't happend in many decades, generations, etc. Would you say the main reason why private/parochial schools, have an easier time winning that type of championship compared to public schools, is due to the fact that private schools are not limited to residential enrollment boundaries that public schools have?

i will admit, this loss for CC upsets me because i really thought they were gonna give MD a closer fought game, given how close they played each other last year in the playoffs, but even though its my dream and hope that a CA Public School can finish ranked number 1 nationally in HS football someday, i don't see that happening anytime soon, but i hope Bosco can beat MD this year, i would rather see Bosco win it all than see MD win it all again. But i still hope that a CA Public School can win a National Title in HS football someday
