Just curious, why did you use a vacuum gripper to pick up the wooden slip-sheet? With that pallet you could have picked up the wood with some clamps on the side-middle of the wood without risking damage to the load items. That way you don't have to worry about sawdust or other particles degrading the consistency of the vacuum gripper. My only guess is you had to deal with various pallet layouts and some may have had the load items distributed differently such as a 3x3 matrix which would have made the grippers a potential risk
