@@MashaKnots Aw you're very welcome love! It's a weird relationship we have with youtubers bc it feels like we know you but you don't know us. For example, a lot of times when someone asks you a question, I already know the answer before you say it just because I have watched all of your videos (except the Harry Potter bracelet ones since I'm not into Harry Potter lol) so I feel like I have gotten to know you! And yea I don't know how that works exactly with the ads but I just let them play on my favorite channels because I feel like if I skip it then they won't get credit for it. Idk, it made sense in my mind, but now that I'm typing it...not so much LOL!
My skeins are all mixed together like that too. I did start to try and organize and put them on bobbins but I find it easier to pick colors when they're all mixed up. If they're separated by color, I have a harder time picking my colors, but when they're mixed up, sometimes you see colors look good next to each other that you may not have otherwise put together. It's hard for me to explain, but I think you understand what I'm saying! And I wanted to say thank you for making more videos to keep our minds occupied in these crazy times! I know you're probably getting cabin fever but just know that we are here on the other side of the screen! We'll get through this! Much love and hugs!
If any of you are like me and are incredibly jealous of all of Masha's sparkly Alize yarns, DMC Mouline Etoile is very similar! I bought some (it's a little pricey), but I've been soooo happy with my bracelets with it. And it's available and easily accessible in the US!
I love love love those packs of color changing floss you showed around 10 min into the video! The colors are so beautiful on the darker one and the pastel colors one! I love them both!
I came up with a challenge you can do! What if you make a bracelet but don’t double knot and only make one knot then move on. I though that would be cool but you don’t have to it btw just a suggestion :) Love you♥️ baiii
That won’t make a bracelet sadly, it will just tangle strings randomly. The reason you do double knots is to create the shape- knot 1 marks the location of the knot and you need to knot again to secure the location :)

I stocked up on Coton Perlé because for some reason I imagined it would make super neat, pearl-like knots (being The Big Brand and all, not splitting randomly etc.). In fact, I found it's just the opposite! My knots look tiny but rough. But at least the thread tangles up on itself (and everything and everyone nearby) spectacularly. AND unravels from the bobbin. AND cuts into my finger. Terrific investment! :D So I must agree with Masha - you can dream of and chase after fancy threads, but the first cheap unbranded stuff that pops up on Amazon will work just as fine (if not better)! :) I should have listened to you :)

ive actually been wanting thicker threads desperately bc i want my wall hanging projects to be bigger. i put so much work in just to have a piece of art that's little in comparison to the wall. this helped me get an idea of what i should buy so thanks!!!
Hey Masha I use the same 1335 anchor thread and I also use the anchor thread 1325 which is awesome you should probably check the colour out bcz it's really cool
I like the Pllieay thread's silky sheen, and I that it is braided instead of twine. Would be great for micromacrame, especially picots so the strands don't separate.Thanks for the recommendation! I went to the Pllieay shop on Amazon. No colored embroidery thread except for red, green, black and white. :(
I dont know if you've ever answered this question but do you have calluses on your fingers? Cuz I do and was wondering if I'm the weird one and doing something wrong or it's a general thing. It doesnt hurt anymore because I've been knotting for years tho
I used to have my fingers turn really red and hurt and sometimes bleed 🙃 but I’ve been doing it for so long that the skin in those areas has just become rough. Nothing really helps but it’s good to have a band aid to put on and moisturise a lot!
As of now I have no intent of making friendship bracelets because I don’t have many friendships that I can physically meet with but I love to see people talk about stuff they are experienced in and passionate about so i watch you for general entertainment
For my first ten alpha bracelets I used cotton yarn. The knots were not that nice and I only slowly improved and thought it was because I am still a beginner. But I started a wall hanging with polyester yarn I cheaply got from amazon and the knots are soo smooth! I don't knot them differently, but they look so much nicer, the edges are so much cleaner too. Has someone made similar experiences?
I have recently. I used yarn and DMC cotton pearl (doubled for normal bracelets) and i found yarn had a frayed look where as DMC is shinier and smoother yet a hassle since i have to double everything
I had bought a couple packs of Loops & Threads craft cord on aliexpress (cause it was really expensive to buy it elsewhere with the international shipping which is just outrageous) and I don't think it's the same as yours, yours seems more like DMC pearl thread (which I've only seen on pictures, I haven't been able to find it irl here), while mine, while twisted, seems more like thin wool. It definitely stands out when I'm using regular embroidery floss and that in a single bracelet, so I end up either using exclusively L&T or not at all. I feel like your Plieay thread is the same as embroidery floss from aliexpress (which is what I mostly use), there's pretty much only one type of embroidery floss on aliexpress. I love it but it is thicker than DMC, something I did not notice until I made one alpha using both that and DMC and it came out wonky. I've been absolutely dying to go to a big craft store and see all kinds of embroidery floss, craft thread, wool etc. irl cause it's so hard to tell if something's gonna work for bracelets by just pictures online, but sadly I live like a 100km from the nearest one and I definitely can't go there anytime soon because of the obvious reasons. All the Americans always talking about Michael's or Joanne's make me so jealous haha Also I feel like the only reason you shouldnt use a type of string or thread or whatever is it it bleeds when wet, especially when you wear or sell your bracelets. I've checked all my strings and none of it bleeds so yay!
I double yarn art carmelia when using it with alize forever. I haven’t used it with embroidery floss yet but I’m considering tripling it even with the alize 😂 it’s so skinny
do you know where I can get some embroidery floss online because at amazon almost all of the embroidery floss there don't ship their products to the UK which is kind of annoying. Anyways do you know some good sites that sell decent embroidery floss and ship them to the UK?
I absolutely LOVE the dark rainbow variegated floss you have! The lighter colored one is pretty too, but I am in love with the darker one! I wanna get some of that, where can I get it?

People are in the stores buying a lifetime supply of toilet paper and fighting over the last package of it, that is ridiculous! And to be honest, it's greedy! I've had people scream in my face and cuss me out so many times! And it's really hard to keep speaking calmly and nicely to them when they're doing that!
I'm curious if u know at all. Um...I always look at yarn at Michaels and I never know what to get BC the sizes of the string vary and I'm scared that I'm gonna buy to big of size of string. But as u said the string in big but the knots are the same. So I guess what I'm asking is do u know like what size to get of yarn or like any tip to know how to tell if the knot will fit correctly! Sorry this is alot to ask! But love ur vids!!
i just cant have a thread collection that big. I dont care what brand it is, but it would just really annoy me if i used a mixture of brands in one bracelet. Similarly, i cant bring myselfto buy more string if i havent at least nearly finished my previous pack.
