former City Press Editor, Mathatha Tsedu, who worked with Langa at the Press Freedom commission says: "In his kind of leadership style when he was with us at the press freedom commission he was not that kind of person who would impose his view. He would allow the commission to add their views even where you'd know that this is not something that the judge would be going with.
