Professor Milan Hejný is a number one among Czech math teachers. He promotes an approach where children can build on their everyday experience and where teacher does not explain the details, but only organizes a discussion between students. Solving tasks in this way enables them to learn math easier and to gain deeper and more durable knowledge. This method helps to build a quality math basis on which the intellect develops further.
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
