Writer S Rangarajan aka Sujatha Was Literally A Backbone for shankar films after his death shankar isn't collaborating with good writers for whatever reasons

Kamal Hassan and Mammootty with Indian 2 and turbo reminding us that they could make bad movies too.

Shankar is going the "subhash ghai" way, where a legendary filmmaker is not able to catch up with the changing times & is evident in his movie subjects.

It felt like this was Aparichit 2 script with Senapati character thrown in the mix😂 The most worried would be Ram Charan fans now, his journey as a Pan India might end before it begins with Game changer 😅

Sujatha was to Shankar what Neeraj Vohra was to Priyadarshan's Hindi adaptations. Hence the decline in quality following these writers' passing. Their contributions cannot be ignored.

Films like Indian are better to be left untouched. Hope Shankar doesn't come with the sequels of Anniyan, mudhalvan , Gentleman

Trying to show evil mindset of the rich by WASTING crores of money (for such a movie) is in itself a crime 😭

After death of writer Sujatha Shankar's graph started to go downhill.

Writer Sujatha died suddenly while writing dialogues & Screenplay for Enthiran (Robot). Hence you can see the dramatic tonal shift in the movie from first half to second. Second is all over the place because of writing.

I think Indian 3 also supposed to be in Indian 2. Because of the producers , they did 2 parts. And Kamal Hassan probably signed Indian 2 because Indian 3 portions were interesting but probably is disappointed that the interesting part is in Indian 3.

This movie was supposed to get released in 2019, still an outdated screenplay for that time too 😢

I think senapati is none other than supreme yaskin😊. After the events of indian-3 , senapati will decide to start world war-3 and, build complex.😊

I still remember I watched Hindustani in theaters as a kid ,the double role by kamal hassan and the news surrounding how the makeup used to depict senapati was one of its kind, the music of rahman with hits like latka laga diya which was the costliest music vid of that time and telephone dhun mein still seems amazing till this date despite its not so usual lyrics, then the story and that 2 finger torsion move by senapati to injure the perpetrators was one of its kind , but the icing was his son being the corrupt one and he himself kills him at the end of the movie and then giving a call later to let know that he survived the crash 🔥... I never thought that a sequel was needed and if it did come , it should have been grandiose rather than relying on the fact that the third part should be more anticipated 😮 Well the might may fail , never expected Shankar to but well here we are.

In all seriousness I actually felt the Indian 3 glimpse was wayyyy better than the whole Indian 2 movie. Hard to believe myself but I still have hope for Indian 3

this seems like a movie that'll end up in the "so bad that it's so good" category in the future

The directors from 90's and early 2000's are clearly stuck up in old filmmaking with the only exception being S.S.Rajamouli who keeps upgrading himself with every movie which made him the "Master of modern filmmaking" and left with no competition

Why did Kamal sir need so much prosthetics after 28 years ? ... I think the audience would have forgiven if Senapati looked different but a lot more naturally old . Instead , they made him look like an old anthropomorphic iguana .

Although Indian 2 is a flop. I am still eager to see Indian 3 as the trailer and Kamal Hassan showed something very intriguing.

This movie is path-breaking and Earth shattering. Easily the greatest movie ever made after Sir Atlee Nolan's Jawanception and The Xposè by Himesh De Niro.

Those who havent watch it yet, plz dont!! I slept thru the 2nd half quite uncomfortably in the theatre chair next to the speakers blaring loud. As to siddharth, his acting like the goody 2 shoes both in his movies and in real life is getting too dramatic even for his sake.

Lot of directors have good akill in direction but they can't make grip screenplay by own Shankar was good till Sujatha was written dialogue and screenplay for him after his death shankar started to trouble in filmmaking even rajamouli father was helping him in screenplay

SPOT ON review!!! For a moment I wasn’t sure if the Varma kalai was supposed to be taken seriously or that was like “add a pinch of humor” 🤷🏽‍♂️🤷🏽‍♂️🤦🏽🤦🏽

1) The producer taking shankar to court shouldn't be forgotten 2) The things that's relevant now might not be relevant in future and might look cringe 3) Jammy's bias towards bollywood never dies... He finds cringe in all movies except bollywood...not to forget atlee combined few south movies to make jawaan and largely his stories of fight against corruption comes from shankar and the same jammy went gaga over SRK and atlee bcz its bollywood while he critiqued other atlee movies now shankar movies if this was made using someone from bollywood he would have asked us to appreciate the honest efforts and relive the nostalgia😂😂

We expected Indian 2, instead we got Okka Magadu 2.

Shankar seems to have got caught in legal trouble in many places ended up doing multiple films at same time..

Sounds like pure propaganda to me. Almost got religio-political vibes the producers wanted to feed the masses. I think Shankar got pressurized politically to make the sequel in this way to uphold the political statements the state government projects. I am not saying this is an absolute reason for this terribly made movie. Just think of the nightmares Shankar had seen after watching the final edits.

Why story matters even though you get blockbuster Actor and director.

I knew how the movie was going to be when all the Thatha memes started making rounds pre release🤣🤣🤣 Edit : I was looking forward to this movie but when the memes started making rounds, I knew it would be bad. Just how bad is this movie for Jammy to title his review 'Matlab kooch bhi' 😅😅

Senapati would be 70's or 80's in his 1st movie. He would be in 90's today.

Instead of making #Indian3 next part of #Indian2 the whole story should be in one movie itself Indian 2 as 1st half and Indian 3 as 2nd half could be power packed screen play movie as #Mudhalvan , #Anniyan , #Shivaji and #Robot but #Shankar missed this opportunity 😢😢😢 unnecessarily he dragged the story 😏😏😏

This just was a completely unnecessary sequel to a very well done film - just because Senapathi said he will be back if needed isn't compelling enough for a sequel - I hope this serves as a lesson to keep the other classic films untouched

Why is this movie trying to be Jawan of SRK in every way possible?

when Indian 1 came, it had a purpose. It was one of a kind. Nobody expected an old man to be the protagonist. The whole concept was new and it clicked. Now, Indian 2 came BECAUSE INDIAN 1 CLICKED. Otherwise Shankar would have worked on more sensible topics. The very idea of cashing on an accepted story, shows that you are lazy to innovate. This is the case with most of the sequels in world cinema. Only exceptions is movies like Bahubali where one single story is divided into multiple individual movies. I’m glad Indian 2 failed. At least this will remind film makers to not be lazy and innovate when it comes to story

Every INDIAN has his day! Too long in the making so has to feel dated as they might have TRIED to modify once the shoot restarted! Some actors in it have passed away while ago as well!

I know this is a wrong time to suggest this but a video or discussion about the growing toxicity and fan wars in india might make a good impact. From cricketers to actors to even common folk are attacked just to rake in the few dollars worth of engagement in twitter. This seems like an awful path for our entire country.
