In this video we will show a few different ways to make this pave pendant using MatrixGold. We will first start by drawing everything out the old way of doing it and work up to using the more advanced tools such as MatrixGold Pave builder and MatrixGold Gem Springs. We will also take a quick look at how the MatrixGold Prong on Surface can help out when designing this type of work.
This vide was a requested video by a subscriber and I hope it will give you some more insight into how to go about designing these types of items.
There is a lot inside this video, and I hope you all will find something useful while you watch. I apologize it is so long. I try not to make content so long but felt in order to give the best ways of attacking and showing not just one way, but some others as well would be useful.

Cool, thanks! I always get nervous when they run long. I know you guys are very busy. Sometimes I don't think it can be helped in order to show everything that is going on in the design process. Nice. How do you set up the gem springs to show the color of the gem as well when using it? Mine makes the gem a white outline with the gem size inside and that makes it harder to see the gems when working on more complex pieces

You know I am not sure if you can have a display mode on the gem when placing them with gem springs. But if you like to see the gem you can always use the gem on surface command instead. I will do some research on that. Thanks for the question. Very good one. Also, if you think it's a good idea to have them in display mode you should email Gemvision and recommend it. These are the kind of comments that they love to hear from users. They do update the program according to the feedback they receive and if enough of us make the same suggestion they are good about adding it in the next update. I think it's a good idea. If there is a reason for not being able to be in display mode, they are good about letting us know why as well. Post any of your findings and I will do the same. Sorry not more helpful.

@@donsjewelrymakingandjapantrave Thanks! If i find anything i will let you know. Also i will send them an email too. But in your video you can see the blue gem and a white wireframe where the cuts are. also the gem size inside. in my case its just a white circle with the size inside
