Part 1. In this video we will show one of many ways to make scroll work for your designs. This will be a very simple way of making it, but we will build on this content. There are many ways to make scroll work such as using emboss and clayoo. So, this is just one and a very simple way of designing it. We will go back and show more ways to design and edit this content in future videos, but I hope this will give you a starting point for understanding on how to make it. I hope the video is useful in your designing endeavors and if so, please think about tapping the bell to subscribe, hit like and leave a comment. Feel free to share the content as well. Thanks for watching and good designing.
If you are just starting out in 3D printing, I would recommend going with one of these printers at a low cost and get familiar with the printing and adding supports and then maybe level up to a faster and higher priced printer. Keep your cost low to start until you become familiar with everything that 3D printing has to offer. Anycubic Printers and resins:

I like when you say that you don't want to take our time. That's very kind of you but, I'll say please do take our a lof of time as much as you want . :) Cos there is so much to learn about plus seeing the tools you use in different ways is great experience. In each details that's wonderful to catch something new each time. Thanks again for your efforts and generosity for sharing what you know about the MG. Have a good day. 🙏

I wish I felt the same. lol I think I could have done a better job. It was a great experience. Honored to have played a part in it. The Gemvision MatrixGold staff are wonderful people. They are really putting in the effort to make the program better and better for all of us. I'm not just saying that I truly believe it. Thank you so much for your comment and support. My friend it is me again... firstly, i did many shapes like these using sweeps, and i noticed that your method is a little different than mine but they kinda complement each other, so i wanna thank you first of all and if you may i would also like to offer a humble idea regarding the second shape... so when you traced the outline of the second shape, i thought you left the sharp edge open so you'll blend curves later on, but you didn't, instead you left them wide open and you placed a another cross section like the one you placed on the opposite side, now this method works but it won't give you a sharp corner which it didn't, and you had to cap it off by a parametric cap and you're lucky that it somehow worked, what you could've done instead was simply join the end of the curves into a sharp edje and then sweep 2 using the "point" option in the command line of the sweep 2 order as follows: sweep2, select first and second rails, select cross section the press "point" in the command line befire executing the order and it will sweep the cross section smoothly to the sharp corner without any distortions. thank you again, greetings from Lebanon, and if you ever decide to travel for a holiday i would gladely host you in our beautiful country. good luck again sir.
@donsjewelrymakingandjapantrave
Long time. Hope all is well with you. Yea, I totally understand what you are saying. I thought about most of what you said but went ahead and did it this way. lol. I really don't like doing sharp edges or points because of casting issues but sometimes they are not that bad. But Thanks for add all that so other people can see it and learn. Much appreciation. Would love to go to Lebanon someday. If I get the chance, I'll take you up on the offer. Thanks so much.

So, when it comes to using free form and smart curve tools I struggle. My curves look janky, and I usually make it worse trying to tweak them with the edit points. Is this something that takes practice to get good with or do you have some tips to do better using these tools to draw?
@donsjewelrymakingandjapantrave
Sure! I’ll be doing another video on scroll work soon. Hopefully have it up this weekend when I do it I’ll talk more deeply about how to draw smoother cures and how to achieve the best results. Gemvision staff recommends only using up to degree 3 curves. Are you knowledgeable on understanding what the degree of a curve is and how the degree effects the curves and edit points?

@@donsjewelrymakingandjapantrave Awesome! I have been learning MG from Gemvision videos exclusively for the past year with no prior experience in CAD or bench work. I have learned a lot that way, but I am glad to have found your channel, it is helping a lot become familiar with different tools and methods of doing things. To answer your question, no I am not knowledgeable curve degrees and their effect on edit points. When I use the rebuild tool, I am really just winging it lol.

It is suggested by the GemVision staff that you only go up to a degree 3 in MatrixGold or the older Matrix programs in order to maintain control. So really you don't need to dive into those too much. Really appreciate your support and comments. By the way how are the classes at Stuller. I only attended classes before Stuller took over Matrix and Gemvision. would like to attend some hopefully in the future.

@donsjewelrymakingandjapantrave
I will try to make some content on that as soon as possible. It's a great idea. Thanks for the suggestion.
