Yeah, it's kind of sad how anti-communist many eastern European people can be nowadays. It's like they completely forget that socialism helped them (re)build their country into a modern nation after WW2. "Matrosen von Kronstadt" is a German version of the Soviet song "Вперёд, краснофлотцы!" ("Forward, red navy sailors!"). But before this, during the 1905 Revolution , Russian socialists sang a song called "Нас давит, товарищи, власть капитала" ("Comrades, capitalist power oppressing us") which was a Russian translation of "Gdy naród do boju".
