Matt Finally Found A Driver's Door For The 1932 Ford 3 Window Project!!!

Back in July of 2021 Matt purchased his 1932 Ford 3W but it was unfortunately missing some key parts, like the windshield and the drivers door. While searching on the Ford Barn, Matt found a listing for a 3 window windshield. After agreeing to buy the part, Matt asked if the gentleman had any doors for a 3 window, and he surprisingly did! After some sleepless nights the doors have arrived via freight and its time to unpack them and see how they faired!! Once the Sweet Heart Roadster and the 33 Ardun build are further along we will be getting started on this project!!

The guy went way and beyond a make do job of boxing those doors. Plus Mike gets a box to repurpose and ship an item he sells that requires the same treatment which will save the Trap some $$$$. I'd make a drawing of that box you can sale up for future boxes. I've done a lot of parts shipping over 40 years plus of glass items, electronics items and others that required it and even from a camera I can see it was extremely well built. And I'm glad to see the door Matt wanted arrive and get mounted. Great episode ro watch in my hospital bed recovering from covid related pneumonia. Thanks guys, your the best of the best channel on RU-vid in your genre.

The 32 3 window, is pretty much the Holy Grail (next to maybe a Vicky) How freaking awesome to find a door!! Plus, the seller did an amazing job, crating them. So awesome!!

I bought a 32 5 window coupe a couple of years ago. While I was on my way. I stopped to get gas. And older couple walked up to me . And asked if my car was a 32 5 window coupe. The lady then asked me if I was interested in a set of doors and trunk lid for a 32 3 window coupe. The doors and trunk lid had been in storage since the late sixties. They were complete with windows, and door regulators and garnish mouldings. The glass had water decals on them.

I bought 57 TBird parts & the seller only charged me for the parts, not his labor. He loves making pallets & it was a work of art that required a skid steer to get off the truck!

Matt, I know how you feel. It took me 11 years to find a right door for a 1928 chev roadster. It was on a trailer mixed in with a lot of big car doors from, buicks, cadillacs and packards. The guy did not know what it fit, so I got a really good deal. After I paid for it, I told him it was for a 28 chev. We both were happy. It was a rust free door from North Dakota.

Hey Matt I have the same car with same problem. I was able to find a beautiful original passenger door with window trim and latch in the Seattle area. For the driver side I broke down and had to order a new one from Brookville. I’ve installed a new wood kit in my car so looking forward to you showing how to align doors. On mine I will be drilling the hinges and the wood pillars. Love your show

Great find Matt 33 ford with suicide doors did pop open when the car was being driven, and the wind can rip the door off and sometimes pulling passenger/ driver out of the car! So those doors are hard to find in good shape.

Very nice pickup also remember most stock cars weak point was caved in doors and easier to grab another weld it in race. Keep up the great work hope to see it done 'cause I local too.

Well Mat you answered your own question about why you can't find doors. Every body is doing the same as you and holding on to them. Nice find and the seller did a dam good job on crating them. Love that 32 and your 33. Happy hunting.
