I have both versions of 1.0 and 2.0, my only question is when is the shockwave will be updated to options of connecting to other devises as well as rider to rider communications options to.
Had tested one of Atlas 2.0 my friend had purchased. My recommendations would be to add a small click on the visor so any rider can have more air intake whenever he/she likes, just a small gap for the first click and the redesign of the Shockwave. I couldn't operate it (neither my friend can) with gloves and jacket on. Maybe a more suitable place like in the left side of the helmet. Also when we tried to communicate with other system (SENA and CARDO) it was a complete failure. Hope your company fix these matters and become the Best Helmet in the motorcycle world. Also maybe a flip-up option for city riders???....
Last Christmas I was gifted a Atlas 1.0 helmet. I placed it in a closet in it’s bag and kinda forgot about it (I own several helmets.) Today I took the helmet out for the first time to be used but was unable to due to the issues. The first issue is a QUALITY concern. The helmets outer shell is fading badly in multiple spots. It kinda resembles camouflage, but with only 2 colors, a satin black and a matte black. The fading is random and it effects the whole helmet. Secondly (and most importantly)I have a SAFETY issue. The visor was not shutting all the way, it leaves about a 1/4” gap at the bottom. I also noted that the visor was not smooth in it’s up and down operation. I assumed the visor was not ‘seated’ properly so I followed the instructions to remove the visor. What I discovered was on one side of the helmet where the screw is inserted was missing the piece that the screw goes into. With the help of a flashlight I discovered the part loose inside the helmet with a gob of what appears to be glue attached to it. Their is no way to reattach it without removing the inner foam. This issue renders the helmet unusable. I have to say I am disappointed in these issues. I was really looking forward to using my Atlas I am to the point where I don’t trust the helmet (and the brand.) Please advise what actions you are taking to rectify my issues. I will try and attach photos for reference. The manufacturer date is January 2019. I believe the helmet was preordered. Again this helmet is NEW. I will be awaiting your response. Thanks... Chris
Hey Chris, drop me an email archie@ruroc.com with these issues and I’ll either get the helmet sent back and fixed or replaced for you! Really sorry to hear that you’ve had some issues but I’ll do everything I can to rectify this.
The 1.0 is ridiculously super loud I even stuffed up the vents with foam and tape to quiet it down and it’s still super loud..... don’t get me wrong it’s a super nice helmet and I even have the shockwave unit and it’s wind noise is so loud
The intercom ... I have doubts about it! Who makes it? How many hours does the battery last? Do you have AM / FM radio reception? Ease of handling while driving is another question I have. Or what size corresponds to me if I have a circumference of 58.50 cm to the head. I like Toxin and Mercury .... precious
I've had my 2.0 Atlas Impaler for a couple weeks now an absolutely love it all around. My only problem with it is it does fog. An must say way worst the my old Scorpion helmet. I've tried a couple things an still the same. Didn't know if maybe someone could provide some possible suggestions on fixing this? Thanks, but like I said overall super impressed and love my Atlas 2.0.
