What’s wrong with people dating others to see if they are a match? Sure its a bit fast and has multiple people dating one person but how is it gross if they all know what they are getting in to?

He was never going to pick a black girl. He never presented himself to be proud of his African American Heritage. I watched intently during interviews whenever he was asked how does it feel to be the first black bachelor, he would exclaim several times, “my mom is white,” when introduced as first black and how does it feel to be such. I believe now that racism has reared it’s head to be the underbelly of the show with the show needing to take responsibility, it has had him to reflect on his blackness. He may have not had to give much focus until now.

Believe it or not, not very long ago the confederate flag was just a flag. The meaning of the flag was just a symbol of the south and had been by and large disassociated from the confederate forces of the civil war. If it weren’t for “woke people” we will still be segregated and living a life of hostility on both sides (white/black) and other ethnic groups would be more prosperous in foreign nations and the US will not be strong enough to stand on its own. When you’re close minded and it’s brought to your attention how problematic your way of thinking is, you react two ways: remorseful or agitated. People are defensive verses apologetic because they don’t like for their views to be challenged and there’s just too many evidence that prove this. The thing is, when we as blacks and brown people are quiet and expected to ignore blantant racism, it is dismissed and normalize, especially in the work place. It will continues to happen until people become more socially and culturally aware. The bachelor isn’t just black he’s also white but he’s educated enough to understand the offense. Why is someone Chris Harrison’s age this foolish to not see it for what it is? If a young man not much older than your own children is aware of it, why couldn’t you educate yourself on this years ago? Racism was even stronger during his time. If we don’t become socially aware, we will continue to have this conversation. This “Woke stuff” is actually making WHITE PEOPLE more aware and I promise you a “woke” culture for the new generation is exactly what we need. Look how interracial dating has increased.
