Matt & Jessica | I walk the line 

These two are definitely the front runners with character development and they have a deep connection due to the car accidents that changed their lives, Matt lost his sight and Jess lost her whole family in other words they both suffered when they were just kids.

The first thing she'll probably do when she discover he's alive it'll be punching him I'm sure!!!! Flawless work as always!!!!!!!

Great video. I am really surprise about how much I have liked this two in the show. I think my favorite moment is when Trish says to Jessica "Think about all the lives you saved" And she answers "And the one we losted" Like if the only thing about she really cares is Matt

I get a feeling that this will keep on being a "siblingmance" until / unless Matt (*SPOILER ALERT if you haven't read the comics*) looses Karen too, which is something I'm still not ready to see. But I still think the chance is of a one night stand, not nessesarily romance.

The fact that people actually seriously ship these two is the final proof to me that arguably the most key needed requirement for fan shipping is to include a white male. Hell, people were shipping them BEFORE they even saw the series. And I could go along with that if the Defenders actually gave us moments between them that would justify fantasizing over their pairing. But the show gave us nothing. Only moment that was arguably intimate between them was the one in which Jessica told the story about Matt's dad but even that took place in the company of a teenage girl grieving over her dad's death which thus prevented any "heat" from taking place in that scene. Other than that all we got was Jessica taking sarcastic shots at Matt, and not in a flirty way. She was abrasive towards him as she was to virtually every other character she ever comes across. Literally there was no difference between her attitude towards him than there was towards Malcolm. The two of them never got to know one another, the two of them never got to bond, Matt never dug too deeply into Jessica's past, there was zero sexual chemistry except perhaps to those who probably assume any time a white male character shares a scene with a woman that the sexual chemistry is automatic. Did the shippers really pay attention to this show? Matt spent almost the entire eight hours pining after Electra (which was boring as hell I'll admit) and when not doing that he was contemplating his relationship with Karen (just as boring). There was NO TIME to even give a hint that he was attracted to Jessica or even could be. Obviously Jessica is more interesting than those two women so I don't blame anyone who would prefer to see Matt hook up with her, but the show didn't give any hope that such a pairing was even an option. The only time the writers contemplated Jessica in a romantic relationship was in a few scenes in which she was talking to Luke about their history. That last scene between Luke and Jessica in the bar was the type of scene Matt/Jessica shippers could only wish had occurred between Jessica and Matt. As a result, with all due respect, the maker of this video struggles to put together Matt/Jessica moments that can be seen as potentially romantic.
