you would probably hate my collection, because there's so much i've altered! 😆😂 i used to keep everything original, but i think it was when i bought THE FIFTH ELEMENT for the third or fourth time, that it started to annoy me that i had several versions of the same movie on my shelf. i didn't want to completely get rid of the older DVDs though, because they had some special features that weren't on the newer blu-rays. so i switched the newest cover to a multi-disc case and kept all the discs that i wanted to keep. that was the beginning, and at first i felt kinda guilty about it, same as you 😁 but then i started doing the same with more and more movies, so that i would have only one case for each individual movie on my shelf. my collection was growing fast, and this process allowed me to save a lot of shelf space. and it felt very tidy, too. i didn't stop there, though 😂 i think it started with the 50 Years James Bond set, which had a placeholder cardboard disc for SPECTRE in it. so when SPECTRE and NO TIME TO DIE had come out, there wasn't a slot for the latter movie in the set. so i decided to put in a self-adhesive plastic sleeve on the last page of the set, because i wanted the whole series in one set. and finally i added another sleeve for NEVER SAY NEVER AGAIN. this opened the floodgates and i became slightly obsessed with having EVERY movie series/franchise/continuity/universe in one set each 😂 and that turned into an immensely fun hobby in and of itself, which has often required a lot of creative thinking and tinkering. for example, i wanted to have all 13 Fox X-MEN movies in one set, and i didn't want it to be a boring box. so i bought two of the German X-MEN sets that are shaped like a big X, then i stuck them together back-to-back with double-sided tape, and i managed to get all 13 movies into this newly created special set 😁 it even worked out really nicely so that one half has the original timeline in it, and the other half has the altered timeline after DAYS OF FUTURE PAST. it may not be original, but i love it, and i know that no one else in the world has one just like it, heheh. at this point, i have 96 different movie series/franchises, and i have managed to combine each one of them into one single set. well, with 2 or 3 exceptions. all 4 TERMINATOR movies (the ones i like) are in the base of the T-800 skull. all the PREDATOR movies are in the base of the Predator bust. i made my own View Askewniverse set, because there isn't an official one. i have a box set with all the DCEU movies in it (so far). i added all the 3D versions of the MCU movies to their respective box sets. i made a complete set of all DESPICABLE ME and MINIONS movies by sticking two French Minion-shaped steelbooks together. all the TRANSFORMERS movies are combined into that Autobot head-shaped set. oh, and one of my favorites is the STAR WARS set that i altered. this one has really pissed off a lot of STAR WARS fans when i posted it in a facebook group 😂 i bought the Skywalker Saga box set, took out the sequel trilogy, and put in ROGUE ONE and THE CLONE WARS instead 😂 now it's perfect. anyway, i can fully understand both positions. if i had endless space, i would probably want to keep every original edition of every movie i ever owned. although i must say that it's very gratifying to have all the movies of each universe/franchise combined in one box or collector's set 😁 i'm at 689 movies on blu-ray now, and i think i own pretty much every movie i want to own (except for THE ABYSS and TRUE LIES). and of course there are usually about 15 new movies per year that i want to buy. but it feels nice to have completed my collection, more or less. one day i'll make a video about it.

Back on Amazon again . I have the HMV version which is the Question Mark steelbook with a book. The picture has a stand for the metal plate.

Holy awesome Steelbooks Batman! Those look great, glad you got them in the end despite the Amazon mix up. Had similar things on occasion myself, but Amazon are usually very good at sorting stuff pretty quickly as a rule

Glad you managed to get the set in the end. I have to agree with you the Steelbook design you like the best is my favourite design as well. I went with the HMV collectors set . I think it's a great idea combining the third Steelbook. I often like to combine sets I even brought premium editions cheaper without the Steelbooks and added my own! But I get that you don't want to mess with the editions but sometimes it just works! Great idea Keith 👍

You're absolutely right, the edition ain't worth the money and the trouble you went through to get it. BUT: It really does look cool, especially in the 3-Steel customized Batarang Edition. PS: For the money Warner could at least have included ... well, a batarang. Great content!

Keith living the red and black steelbook dream. It's funny cause your least favourite one artwork wise was my favourite one and got on amazon France. Glad you got some luck with it coming back in stock, and if anything I think it would look a great display piece for a shelf. I would be all for altering a set as long as it didn't damage, for example I would probably find a way to get my army of darkness 4k steelbook into that groovy edition for Evil dead to have it a complete set, but I would need a better look at the inside to see.

9:25 Hi Keith, love the content on your channel. I just picked up this set and the glue dots that held the metal plate to the boxset have disappointingly left raised marks on the front of the Batman artwork. Looks like the same happened with yours. Love how you got the HMV steel-book to house inside, well done. Your video got me to finally buy this set for £49, a much better price than Amazon asking £99.99! The steel-books are great though. Thanks for all the fantastic videos.

I've never thought about altering movie box sets to do something like this. It's a cool idea and it looks like it came out really nice.

People who bought the Long Halloween bluray somehow got this set. Amazon did it twice, first they refunded everyone and the second time they honored it and people got it for £15, beats the £75 price tag. Looks like Zavvi and Amazon bought all the Walmart sets because that's literally what the box is unfortunately, got it myself. You'd think they would sort it out, especially with the plate, magnetic or something. Would've been worth the price I bet if it came with 3 steelbooks. I did pick this set up and got it for £60, which I have a video coming out on it. Great video as akways Keith.

Great looking boxset Keith, love the dramatic intro. When you don't recieve your goods, some one 's not doing their job properly, it's so frustrating. I'm glad you eventually got it sorted in the end Keith. Great job in customising the boxset, it looks really good. I have seen this one and really enjoyed it, I thought RP did a good job in the role. I'm still yet to watch DKR, I'm waiting for my DC mood to come round again. I'm still reminising over the Halloween reviews and live streams, the one you and John did was the best, I can't wait for next years.

I don't really get the point of giving you the movie twice. Surely they could've replace one Steelbook with books, art cards, poster etc. I also think the "Batarang" edition should come with a Batarang model.

Hi Keith. I love that metal plate, it looks great. As you say though, its a lot of money for what you get. The stand is for the metal plate isnt it? Im assuming thats why it doesnt stick to the top of the box. I remember seeing this on Amazon and thinking that it actually came with some sort of prop Batarang. Doh. Pleased I passed. Ive gone against my instincts and ordered my first steelbook. Haha. The Running Man on 4k. Its the only version readily available. Hope it doest start something.

I just got this set from Zavvi for only £36. I agree it isn't worth £80. Glad I waited for it to go on sale. I love the artwork on the box and the steelbooks. Thought I'd just rewatch your video to remind myself of the full package. Is the plate magnetic? I thought a good way to attach it to the back of the box without damaging it with glue would be to insert some magnets inside

What a struggle you had getting this release. It's not the first time for you struggling to get a particular release and I'm afraid it won't be the last time either. It always sucks when these things happen. Anyway, at the moment the Italian edition is 50% off and available for just 30 Euros, which I think is a great price for this release. As you said, that particular release doesn't come with the Steelbooks, but with the regular Amaray release. However, thing is, from day one, when all of the different editions of this movie were announced, I've always liked this Amaray Edition. To me, having this banner at the top where it shows the "4K Ultra HD" logo and says "4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray" in red, instead of the regular grey just makes it stand out to other editions. Then there's this highly detailed picture of his face where you can see all of the little details of his face. I've always liked the way this edition looks and have always preferred it over other editions. Since the day it was announced, I knew this'd be the edition I wanted to get. Last month I saw a Limited Edition on Amazon Italy, which includes an exclusive bonus disc. It was on sale and even cheaper than the regular Amaray Edition. However, this edition has completely different artwork, so even though it was very cheap, I didn't get it. Now I see the Batarang Edition is on sale for only 30 Euro, plus the Italian release does come with the regular Amaray Edition which I'd like to own, so it looks like I've finally found the edition that's right for me. You know how it goes, Keith. Everyone has a different taste, and once you've seen an edition you like, then that's the one you want to get. Of course, I could've picked up the regular Amaray Edition a long time ago, but somehow I feel like such a great movie deserves me to pick up some kind of Special Edition.
