Matt's Binding Router Contraption 

This is a genius bit of equipment Matt! Now I gotta rearrange my shop again to make room for something this cool!

Found you through the Great Guitar Build Off, and have been working my way through your videos. I'm in Colorado too, and into strange creative guitars so I'm thrilled I found you!

That is the coolest binding jig on planet earth. I've been using the stewmac jig and they made it to where you can't really cut binding on carved tops without monkeying around with it. I hope you don't mind that I steal this idea. I've also been using my pin router but that only cuts a consistent channel and if you are building a les paul style guitar for someone they freak out if the binding isn't all funky like Gibson does it. Great design Matt.

This one looks nicer than the one on the bungee cord one. I struggle with clean binding cuts for sure. Ive changed up to a dremel with that special head just for binding. It works but still kind of sucks. Not that easy and you have to go slow if you dont want to tilt it and make a bigger channel than necessary.

Matt you should make up plans for that and sell it on your site along with other cool tool plans! that's really cool! I like how you designed it using drawer slides! pretty smart idea!! You have the best informative videos on yt!!

Cool jig!

Hope you can make a tutorial about binding a guitar with arm rest contour. Similar to a richiekotzen fender tele and suhr mateus asato Telecaster. I can't seem to find a tutorial here on youtube about it. And most of the nearest luthiers here in my place are afraid to do that.
