I got this game as a kid in the 90's after seeing the commercials and begging my mom for it. I still have it today and even though I'm in my 30's I still find it fun. I just introduced it to a friend last year and she loved it. She said said we had to have another friend of ours over to play it. A couple of tips: The clues are actually not random. Each object has 2 clues in it. So you can look at it twice then on the 3rd look it will say "Sorry, no clues here." It also knows when the deck of clues has run out so then it will start telling you to take a clue from another player, and I'm pretty sure once the deck runs out then there is only 1 clue per object, so you can only steel a card once for each item. Also in the instructions it tells you the numbers for each object, because we thought one of the pieces of furniture was lost so we wrote down the item and number on a little slip of paper so we could still play it no problem, we ended up finding the piece later. So if you get it really cheap at a yard sale and 1 or 2 pieces of furniture are missing it's still playable, and if the instructions are gone you can usually find a scan of them online for free.
Found a guy on Facebook Marketplace that I'll be picking up some games from and this is one of them. He says it's complete and the electronic machine works great for $15. Told him SOLD!
WOW, those boy girl tokens looks just like the tokens from my "Mall Madness" game; but "Mall Madness" was Milton Bradly and "Electronic Mystery Mansion" was Parker Bros. Weird!
I used to have this game years ago for my daycare children and it was always a huge hit! Sadly as time was going by, I let it go to someonewho would have used it and now regret it. It was a fun game for all ages!
Holy cow! Is it really going for that much now? Dang! I got this a couple of years back when it wasn't so much. Guess I got lucky. I'd love to see a reprint of this one day. Lots of cool pieces and has great table presence!
Yeah it is, sadly :/ My family and I used to play it all of the time when I was a kid, and we really want to play it again but for that price.. eh. We'll just have to stick with catan, tsuro, and carcossonne @@kidcardco
