This song made me cry. Amazing. "My best friend kills the pain, but only for a day. She keeps chewing on my veins....." I think that reference to his addiction to drugs is the most powerful line in the song, Matt deserves so much more than what he has.
his lyrical style, hair, vocals & his whole demeanor reminds very much of the late Mr. Cobain...thats a compliment. It's something completely familiar but new and refreshing, love it very much.
Brad looks really heartbroken and sad listening to his brother sing this song. It is likely about their childhood. I really admire the poetic aura of the lyrics in the song. I wish i could write like that. I love you guys
@@aycuh7873 standard tuning Strum down and up continuously at a moderate speed, like he does, gives it the little like "dunuh dunuh dunuh dunuh" sound know what I mean? Opening - D Chord Strum it for a second, and while you're strumming use your thumb to hit the low E string on the 3rd fret, then second fret, then hit it as a open string. That gives the little "do do do" sound. Remember to hold the D Chord while doing this. And after each time you play the open E string, strum the whole chord. Do that about 2 or 3 times, whatever feels right. Then go to the second fret of the D string, no chord shape, just use your finger, Slide to the 5th fret, pick it 4 times (counting the slide) Then play the 4th fret 4 times Then play it open 1 time. Then D Chord, down up Down up (strumming) Then he starts singing and plays just the D chord, and each lyric do the E string thing. So like "Heart of steel, born to kill mothers milk, left me dressed in shame" do the E string thing you did in the intro. But when he says "I just go my way" he plays A Major. Then each verse follows that pattern. Lastly, the chorus is just E minor, A Major, then D Chord. If it didn't make sense lemme know I'll just make a vid Tbh. Hope it was helpful tho!
Excellent song from an excellent band. Unfortunately today's music industry is more focused on rewarding garbage music. There still a gigantic audience for true and real music
@zombehkiller23 Its called real music. Which you probably never heard because of all the technology and lies you listen to on your records. You see in reality no ones voice sounds like what is on your multimillion dollars track made by Hollywood stars.
