Matt, as an Alabama fan you have been witness to great football seemingly forever. I, as a Buffs fan from way back, remember the past success, of which my memory had to remain quite clear to allow me to remain faithful for these many years of suffering thru terrible football in pursuit of irrelevance. I do see great improvement, and the final score at this point in the process isn't the only measuring stick to me. Transformation of mentality, winning attitude, coaching proficiency and just plain ole effort, I see growing every week. This was the best game of the season, even though not a win. A true confidence booster to this Buffs loyalist. Thanks for the honesty, critical eye, and keen observation.
Arizona fan, Colorado played great for what they’re working with. Explosive special teams plays kept it close. They would have won if they could’ve stopped Coleman since our defense didn’t play it’s best game. 🐻⬇️!

Colorado played the field position game extremely well. When they were stopped the punter did a fantastic job of pinning Arizona deep in their own territory. The defense stepped up in these situations and forced Arizona to punt from deep within their own territory to give the CU offense great field position. The biggest difference between these two teams today was the running game. 207 vs 77 rushing yards in Arizonas favor. This was a very very even game in all aspects except the two I’ve mentioned (rushing attack and field position)
Oh ok, Arizona wins the game and all of a sudden they overrated af, but Colorado *LOSES* the game and all they are is lacking a proper oline. Overrated teams don’t stay winning games, just look at Colorado at the beginning of the season 😂

Going 4-8 isn’t bad for a team in their rebuilding phase. Colorado ceiling this season was to get over 1 win and they’ve done that. People added on more due to the early hype.

A huge step would've been going from winning only 1 game to making even a minor bowl game with at least 6 wins to go at least .500.

You think they are happy with 4 wins? There's no way going into the season they set the bar for a successful season as low as 2 or 4 wins. A measurable bar of success was 6 wins and making a bowl. Then next year look to get 8-10 wins and a major bowl.
I spoke to a scout last week and he said the NFL likes shadeur arm but they are very disappointed he taps the ball before he throws. That is a huge red flag, it caused Garapollo to drop in draft. I played for Bill Parcells and he would never draft a QB that did that and if he happen to inherit one he would cuz they ass out until they quit or fixed it. #2 has to stop tapping the ball on his throws. Safeties corners and linebackers in The league will get clean breaks on his balls
@@nenevz2948 You would think but it’s year 3 and it’s still not fixed. It’s actually pretty hard to change. It similar to a pitcher changing from a submarine thrower to an over the top thrower. It’s possible that he lose accuracy or velocity.
Arizona has more talent than Colorado. Colorado cant stop the run that is the reason they lost. The only reason the game was close because #2 for Colorado is spectacular.........
Matt, as much as you rag on the Colorado defense, you seem to have missed the fact that they have improved. They now rank 119th, which is ahead of both Stanford and USC. (They used to be 131st.) They rank 38th in sacks per game, just 1/10th of a point behind Florida State and ahead of both Texas and Michigan. They rank 10th in the nation in takeaways. Yes, they are struggling on defense, but they have made progress and continue to improve. Today was a good example of it. You circled the 34 and said you can't win games giving up that many points. What about 31? That's how many Arizona gave up. In the end, they lost, but they played well, and they showed improvement.

Matt, your logic changes from video to video. It’s truly unbelievable. Anyone can watch your old videos and see your analysis before and after games. To say Colorado is trash/suck is a terrible statement without any research/evidence behind it. They have played more ranked teams than every single team currently in the top 25 (not including the pac 12 teams). No one with half a brain believed Coach prime and buffalos would be in the college football playoffs; at best anyone who supported Deon with half of a brain thought they would at best reach a bowl game. Every game they have lost has been close. Does that not say anything about this team and the level of a talent? Losing close games does not tell me or anyone else that really understands and watches football that they are trash as you mentioned in your previous video.

Come on Matt! Colorado defense played very good in the first half and was getting 3 and outs. The offense complimented them also. Arizona opposing offenses average 20 points a game and Colorado put up 31 and missed a go ahead field goal with a few minutes left. Colorado was winning for most of the game because their offense was back clicking and their defense got stops. I watch every play of that game and both teams made fantastic plays but Colorado don’t have the pass rushers yet to shut down drives. They will be much better next year. Also shedeur had a 20 yard rushing TD.

Love your attention to my Buffs, but this video makes it obvious that you determine the effort and progress of Colorado simply by the final score and stats. Colorado was not out played by a very good Arizona team. Yep, they gave up some big plays and need more talent, but the score and stats are far from indicative of the game played.
Matt how is poor defense Coach Deion fault? The man isn’t on the field of play competing with pads on. Individual players have to look into the mirror, and be honest with themselves. My opinion so don’t kill me for it… everyone was crying for them to start cromoni which they did he did great In coverage…. But his talkings was real bad on run plays … on all the run plays if he would of wrapped up instead of hitting with his eyes closed probably would’ve won… if u go back and look at all the big runs cromoni was perfect in getting thr but wiff or just got brush off… even on that last drive he missed 2 tackles in 1 play for that big run gain… he needs to hit weight room in off season for run game

Man quit capping you made a whole video about how Colorado would get demolished and the game went down to the wire. You want to say Arizona didn't play their best but at what point do you give Colorado credit for that? This is not the first ranked team that Colorado had a close game with. They only got demolished by 1 team the whole season. Are they world beaters no but they're not as bad as you're making them out to be either. You say the defense got worse but the defense held them under their average points allowed. The offense has looked better, the offensive line has even looked better. They gave up 3 sacks yesterday which is a lot less than what they've been doing. Here's why I don't think Colorado will be better next year. What is the main excuse everyone has given Colorado this year? This is the first year with everyone in the transfer portal so they aren't in sync. True but Deion has said that hes going to get rid of everyone that was terrible and go get new players from the transfer portal like new lineman; essentially replacing the o line and defense. Now your back to square one and everyone that you acquired from the transfer portal. But in your 2nd year you don't have the excuse of everyone is new. Get players from transfer portal -> get rid of them -> replace them ->start back at square one -> repeat.
I have disagree I feel everyone think Dion Sanders doesn’t know what he’s doing this year I feel like he exceeded expectations no one had them winning any more than one game this year I think he will attack the transfer portal a little bit different like actually get guys who’s going to contribute some guys he got out the portal. We’re extra bodies. We have to remember Travis, Hunter, and Sándor sanders is coming back next year, including their starting. G Tyler brown my only concern is adding more pieces to the defense. They need to get bigger upfront on both sides.

Hey Matt, I like your channel for the most part. It’s definitely entertaining. You are say the defense sucks and that you watched the game. It seems like you switch back and forth on which coach to blame. If you watched the games you would definitely know that the defense is much improved. The stat box does not tell the whole story, yet you appear to base your opinion primarily on the stats. Once upon a time I coached college football, well for 14 years of my young adult life. There is zero doubt this team has improved week after week. To blame the coaches for there lack of success to me is somewhat silly. Have they or any coach called the perfect game this year? Probably not. The bottom line is their roster is not on par with the teams they have played this year. Your a football guy and played the game in middle/highschool. How many plays did your coach have that where not designed to score? A basic trap or dove play if executed should “technically” score a touch down every time if our players win the one on one battle at every position. I feel sorry for the guys on the side lines that put in hours that most people can’t even begin to understand. They know the game soooo much more in depth then any of the people critiquing them online. An old football adage is it ain’t the X’s and O’s but the Jimmies and Joes. You should know this. Don’t be one of those guys trying to put coaches on the hot seat and firing up fans that don’t know squat about the game. I believe Coach Kelly called an awesome game! I think this staff deserves a ton of recognition. If they can get more of the right guys in and build their depth they will be much improved in the years to come. Just my 2 cents!

This team has only been together as a team for a few months and played several ranked teams. I think that the Buffs have improved on many levels and will be better next season. Matt, did you see the fumble by KY and Bama recovered but they hurried up, even the refs to stop the replay from being shown upstairs? I have heard no one mention it, probably because we won anyway. It did mess with our statistics. I watched the games yesterday and we definitely have a tougher schedule than the top four had. I just get tired of these trans blaming the refs for when they lose, when it is obvious that is not the case!

Give your ballers as many chances to score as possible. Especially when the game is close. And the defense gets exhausted. They play well early on in the game
