Because the hot sizzling food is hot so the kinetic energy increase as higher the temperature higher the kinetic energy... So particles of hot food spreads quickly as compared to cold food. 2. Solutions: 1) Particles of matter are continuously moving and this is also because kinetic energy is directly proportional temp. So when something is cooking in the kitchen at High temp. the smell tends to move rapidly and repeatedly and the whole kitchen is full of that smell take example of Halwa...2) particles of matter have space between them water being a liquid has less intermolecular force of attraction and therefore has space between whereas salt being a solid has much strong force of attraction and therefore has almost no space in between particles it takes the space between liquid and dissolves...3) particles of matter have space between them.
