Ongoing teaching through the Gospel of Matthew by Pastor Paul LeBoutillier of Calvary Chapel Ontario (Oregon). Check out our website for teachings through the entire Bible.
I was born into and raised Mormon. Nothing could change my mind about the validity of that gospel. I was all in it. I could not be moved...i was brainwashed to the core. I allowed the spirit of deception to tell me it's true.. but then the 2020 "pandemic" and the political overreach happened and hit me real hard... Churches got locked down and I became very fearful for the our future of our country. I continued to study the gospel while we're on lockdown but it also gave me time away from the influence of church...which in return, allowed me to really ponder on my faith.... I was able to really focus and consider my doubts that I forcefully tucked away ..... I then saw a few signs from the church that made me feel lost and disappointed... they had bragged about how they donated their money during the pandemic, but the company they were donating to was part of the NWO.. this made me sick to my stomach..and the one and only "prophet" of today came out and gave a pre-recorded bland message In which I felt no comfort from 😐. I was expecting him to reveal something to us or to give us some kind of hope... I felt nothing... I then spent many hours and late nights researching and digging into my own religion facing all my doubts and I was lead to info that opened a whole can of worms that I never knew about.. it took me a few weeks to accept the traumatic realization that I have been lead astray and into a cult. The pandemic and the political corruption was MY PERFECT STORM that lead me to be curious about my very religion and faith... if those events DID NOT HAPPEN... I would have continued to be a devote mormon!! God used this perfect Storm to birth another Christian 🙏🏽💕✝️ I am born again now March 2021 and I'm NEVER LOOKING BACK. I'm no longer fearful for my future or the future of this country because I AM SAVED!!! MY CONFIDENCE IS IN HIM! PRAISE GOD! I FOUND THE REAL JESUS!
I pray every day with all sincerity Psalm 25:4-5 “Show me Your ways O God, Teach me Your paths. Lead me in Your truth and teach me, for You are the God of my salvation, on You I wait all the day. “ The Holy Spirit leads me into all truth just as Jesus said He would. ❤He is faithful.
Times 4 evangelism has changed. No more gathering of people 4 Gospel meetings. Public are not interested. Thanks Pastor, it is our bended knees & trusting the Holy Spirit that will do the work. End of church age, just get ourselves ready 4 the kingdom age. Once again God bless. I appreciate your precious time. Amen.
Your ministry has helped me sooo much with understanding and enjoying the word. I study my bible then watch your teaching chapter by chapter. ❤God bless you. Thanks!!
Same here. I teach a Bible class in church and so I come here after I have studied the lesson to compare notes and glean more truths. it is 11th Feb 2024 and this is what we are studying in church today. The previous week was on the Parable of Sower and his sermon was so helpful;, especially going in-depth about the nature of the seed that fell on the wayside
Never thought these parables are actually sequential. The message tho gave me a better grasp of reality, of the real situation in the body of Christ. Must say it discouraged me but it also made me realize how important it is to seek God's truth & pray for discernment, and turn away from being a complacent, unfruitful christian. Praise Jesus🙌 thank you pastor for this🙏🩷watching from 🇵🇭
Thank you for the interpretation of the parables. I've read the Bible many times but never knew the meaning of these parables until I hear your podcast. There's so much to it.
Thank you for this sermon. By MATT 13, Christ Jesus has been completely rejected by the religious leadership and most of the Hebrews, so He taught them in parables that He might not raise contention in the hostile listeners, yet for those who could hear Him, the parables led them to reflect on His Words and take in their Spiritual meaning. The 7 parables of Chapter 13 are a warning about the Kingdom of Heaven. If we understand the meaning of darnel (tares), and what it can do to wheat, if we understand the properties of the mustard seed and the mustard plant that grew in Palestine in the time of Christ, if we understand the symbolism of birds, leaven, good and bad seed, and a pearl in Scripture, then we can see that there will be good and evil in the Kingdom of Heaven in the physical realm until the close of the Age. Verse 52 says, therefore every teacher or scribe who has become a disciple in the Kingdom of Heaven, is like the owner of a house who brings out of his storeroom new treasures as well as old. In other words, for us, 2000 years later, it still means the same, "A skillful, faithful minister of the Gospel is well versed in the things of the Gospel, and able to teach them. Christ compares him to a good householder, who brings forth fruits of last years growth and this years gathering - old experiences and new observations. All have their use. Our place is at Christ Jesus' feet, and we must learn old lessons over and over again, and new ones also. Christ Jesus is the Pearl of great price, and in having Him, we have enough here, and for Eternity." The householder that brings out his treasures, showing what is new, and what is old, and showing that their is corruption, false man-made doctrines, among what is good in the Kingdom of Heaven while we are still here in the physical realm, warning us, as Christ Jesus did in these 7 parables, has been trained for the Kingdom of Heaven. And the Kingdom of Heaven is the rule of an Eternal, Sovereign GOD over all the universe and all His Creation. We walk in the midst of the Kingdom, the Kingdom is within us, and the Kingdom is Spiritual. Yet we are still here in the physical realm, so the Kingdom of Heaven involves repentance and the new birth of the Holy Spirit (Born From Above), "as GOD rules in the hearts of His children in this world in preparation for the next. The works begun on earth will find its final and complete consummation in Heaven {PHIL 1:6}. Peace..

Simple, but insightful message. I can always tell true preachers of the Word of God. You know how? ha, if you watched until the end of this video, you know exactly how!
As Christians we have to have ask for the holy spirit to show us the true meaning of the word. Our understanding of the word shouldnt come down to another man explaining it. Learn for yourselves brothers and sisters. Stay strong in the lord
Hi pastor Paul. Thanks again, I am blessed by your teachings. On today's teaching i was challenged by the assumption that 'Birds on the mustard tree' mentioned is meant to symbolize evil but then again good message about duplicity.
Today i was in my car just tidying up, ,my eyes went to all parts in the interior then all of a sudden i looked at the clock straight on 1:11 immediately i remembered ACTS 1:11 and that was today and today I've just seen this vid and you mention ACTS 1:11 I'm always thinking about ACTS 1:11 as I'm always waiting for JESUS to come back in any time and moment...👑
amen and thank you so much 4 this great sermon.. I really enjoyed it so much and even learned more than I thought that I would.. I had just started teaching my children about this chapter in Matthew.. I thought that I was right when it came to the birds thinking that it was us but I learned so much more.. I actually subscribe to your Channel and I'm sorry that we don't live in Canada but I'm not too far away maybe one day we will be able to go to your church who knows.. Keep on preaching the word of Truth I pray that God would give you wisdom knowledge and understanding beyond your years.. Thank you and God bless you
Thanks for the note. It's always a blessing to hear from people. But you should know we're NOT in Canada either. Calvary Chapel Ontario is located in Ontario, Oregon. God bless you!
I've sinned more than most...stopped but still after all These years I'm full of so much regret and wish ide never been a prostitute, ,maybe because i was sxluy abused as a child by the family and bullied bad at school and beaten almost to death by ex husbands twice married. .now single and very lonely. .don't feel GOD'S LOVE anymore...😢
You've been through some truly terrible circumstances. And yet God has brought you to a place of recognizing and appreciating His Word. God loves you with an intense love that will never decrease. Remember that we are confident of God's love not because we FEEL it, but rather because He promised it. Bless you! -Pastor Paul
You don't feel God's love because of those bad moments in your life, but think about something..You're still here aren't you?You survived all these terrible moments and you're still here.I truly believe that God was always behind you and that thanks to Him you've survived all of it.You may start wondering why was I through all of this,it's because of people, not God...I hope you feel his love because I'm pretty sure that he loves you.God bless :)
How are you Hillside Hermit I feel for you please let Jesus begin something great and a new beginning in your heart I pray that God will shower HIS grace upon you, my sister in Christ. God Bless you LOVE Victor Pouesi
Remember you are a precious pearl in Gods sight, he surround you all the time midst in the lonelyness you feel Talk to Him, «praying your way through the day» ! Runar, Norway
The devil will beat you up over your past until the day you die. Only thing you can necessarily change in respect is your mind. That will allow you to change your actions going forward. The Holy Spirit is waiting for you to yield to the Word of God, so you can have a whole different life. Don't quench this Spirit by wallowing in sin anymore! Be sincere, and when you stumble, ask for forgiveness, and forgiveness is promised. God blesses all those who hear and do the Word of God. Incidentally, I fail all the time, but I'm not going to let that make me lose faith or keep me from receiving the Word of God and the blessings that come with that. Similarly, I'm going to keep trying to uplift fellow brethren to the same mindset. We are children of God, which means we are a family! We are apart of the True Vine! Try not to forget that and try to bring as many into God's family as the Lord gives you the opportunity to.
Amen, the Holy Spirit knows how to get everyone's attention, He knows reach persons "surrender point". Unfortunately some stubbornly refuse and resist surrendering and as the word says in Acts 7 vs 51, warning against resisting the Holy Spirit.
Question why did you leave out the angels gathered the weeds first before the rapture of the Church? Matthew 13:30 ESV [30] Let both grow together until the harvest, and at harvest time I will tell the reapers, "Gather the weeds first and bind them in bundles to be burned, but gather the wheat into my barn."'"
Angels gather the weeds which is the evil doers and it'll be thrown into the hell .. and the wheat gather into HIS BARN ,is the king dom of HEAVEN .. to be with HIM, forever and eternity.
I agree, this parable certainly challenges pre trib rapture belief which is a bummer since I so much want to believe in a pre trib rapture. Jesus clearly says the tares are harvested by the angels FIRST then the wheat is gathered to Him (or into a place of safety/shelter like the barn which I’m assuming means with Him)
Interestingly we are teaching this in church and I raised this question of yeast with a senior colleague. Why would we explain the parable of yeast and dough as a Christian influence? Almost throughout Scripture yeast is negative, when its influence is described and in these parables in Matt 13, we see descriptions of good and deliberate evil mixing up with it. Expositional constancy
Why is Jesus using the phrase kingdom of Heaven in all these parables and not the kingdom of God? Are they interchangeable? Seems like to me He would be calling the events on earth He’s describing here the kingdom of God but my translation (amplified) does say Heaven.
Have you receive the Holy Spirit Acts 8:14 -17 KJV Acts 19: 2-6 KJV Do you obey the Gospel of Jesus Christ Romans 10:16-18 KJV 2 Thessalonians 1:6-9 KJV Examine oneself 1 Corinthians 11:28, 30-3KJV 2 Corinthians 13:5-6 KJV
What about the birds in the passage 'Look at the birds they don't worry about what they eat....'. Is that passage also using birds in the sense of evil people?
You know we sit these teachers on pedestals and judge them extra. I also though of a few examples where birds where used as good examples in the Bible but I think what pastor Paul remembered overwhelmingly was all the scripture where it does refer to something bad. Yes there are other scriptures but take it for what he meant...
I would like to know if the end of the age spoken of here. The tare's being burned is speaking of mid trib or post trib rapture. Lo I am with you even unto the ends of the eart... Jesus says (first) bind the tares and weeds and burn them... than gather the wheat into the barn. How can there be a pretrib rapture if He is going to burn the weeds first?
This is a question that has little to do with this but you mentioned the people that brought it about Christmas. God mentions it about the tree and decking it with silvercand gold. Is celebrating Christmas a sin? It's foundation is very pagan and evil.
+Michelle Michelle Hi Michelle. The Scriptures do NOT speak of adorning trees as some people think. The passage in question, which is Jeremiah 10, speaks of how pagans would cut down trees and then use the wood to make idols, which they would proceed to adorn with silver and gold and then bow down to worship them. So here are the questions you need to concern yourself with: 1) Are you a pagan? (I assume not.) 2) Do you bow down to worship idols? (Again, I assume the answer is no.) Then you don't need to worry about Old Testament passages that pertain to pagan worship rituals. If however, you are a Christian, and you celebrate Christmas as a way of rejoicing in the most wonderful gift that God ever gave to mankind in the Person of His Son, Jesus Christ...then I believe your celebration actually honors God. (If you have more questions feel free to write me personally at www.ccontario.com/pastor_paul.php) God bless you!!
Thank you very much for the sermon ...Wonderful! However, I somewhat disagree with the notion of 1000 years of "dark age" in regard to the Roman Catholic Church. By the fact that there were evils and great mistakes made by some personalities does not mean that all was bad and total darkness. It is also within that period that we have had great personalities like Anselm of Canterbury, Augustin of Hippo, Thomas Aquinas among others
