When Peter saw Jesus walking on water, as described in the Bible in Matthew 14:25-33, his faith prompted him to ask Jesus to invite him to walk on water, too. But as the storm became more violent, Peter’s faith faltered and he began to sink, calling out “Lord, save me.”

@@Bramington789, According to the scriptures Jesus is “the Son of God,” and by him “all things where made.” He has “been given all judgement.” John says that he was “in the beginning with God,” and “was God.” In the beginning the word “God” referred to multiple beings. It later came to refer to only Jehovah, whom we believe is Jesus Christ. Later John revealed that Jesus has a father and that the term “God” is appropriate for both of them.

Man, I love this miracle of Peter walking on water. It reminds me what happens when we take our eyes off Jesus and allow our circumstances to be the focus of our attention. We sink! We drown! Because fear does not come from the Lord, it comes from the enemy or even our own thoughts and doubts. Peace is not found in the absence of the storm, but in the presence of Jesus! He is bigger and greater and stronger than any storm life throws at us... He is WITH us. Let us be reminded in the Truth of who He is! ❤

It’s also amazing to think the Savior knew of Peter’s fear, but still allowed him to come out towards him. Also, the Savior more than likely knew at this time Peter would later deny him three times as He was being sent to His mortal death on the cross. However, the grace of our Savior is more powerful than our sins and follies. The Savior will allow us to “step out of the boat” to test our faith and will be always willing to help as we turn our heart to him.

Witnessing testimonies and hearing people preaching the gospel really does the work! Reading the bible for me is kind of long and I tend to get bored so watching it would work. God's words never changes so no matter where you read the bible, whether its online or from the book its still feels like he's reading it to you.

As a child I was close to death but jesus saved me ,even now I fear no evil for I I keep my eyes on him ,even in the mist of darkness, Jesus shines his love and the light of heaven keeps me on the journey of lifes path . I can see the light at the end of tunnels that as a child I have discovered many year have come and gone in the mist of time since then . Amen!! That's the point. Keep our eyes on Jesus. When we take our eyes off him, we start to sink! We sink back into that old man, into the flesh and sin we were once slaves to before Jesus rescued us. I'm only speaking from experience. Even for a moment when I take my eyes off Jesus, I've found myself sinking just like Peter. But thanks to our Lord and Savior who says once we receive salvation and even before, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." (1 John 1:9 KJV). Glory be to our Lord Jesus Christ!
