“The single greatest gift God could conceivably give to mankind is forgiveness of sins. Without forgiveness, there could be no salvation from sin, no reconciliation with God, no spiritual life, no victory over death, no prospect of heaven.” John MacArthur
God is the one that can justly and yet mercifully forgive all our sins, failings, iniquities, and transgressions because His only Son paid for them all through His sacrificial death upon the cross.
Even the best of God's children fail and fall into various sins, yet as it is seen so wonderfully through the example of Apostle Peter, Jesus Christ can forgive and restore us even from the deepest pits of despair and iniquity.
Why did Peter fall into such grievous sin as denying the Lord?
What lesson can we learn from Peter about the state of our own souls?
What can we learn about Jesus Christ by the way He treated Peter?
1. Peter's Denial of Jesus Christ (69-74)
2. Jesus Christ restores Peter (74b-75)
The Lord remains faithful even when we fail Him. His grace is truly greater than all our sins.
