Matthew Holness on the schlocky horror writing that inspired Darkplace - from RHLSTP Book Club 46 

This guy has actually written more books than he's read.. They should pay him a heroes wage... Never take drugs.

As an American, it's interesting to hear him speak candidly after watching Darkplace, cuz his Garth Marenghi voice sounds like someone who has an English accent doing a bad impression OF an English accent (or even what an English accent sounds like to an American).

Currently reading Terrortome. If there is ever a movie adaptation I think Tom Hanks would probably be up for playing Moses Unique or Typeface.

The horror genre is in decline, reading is in decline, literacy is in decline, numeracy....the three L's. And it's from presenters like @Herring1967 misspelling Garth Marenghi that only serve to highlight this. I hope this doesn't impair your enjoyment of this ground breaking, genre defining series that is a genuine gift from author to humanity

I saw Garth Marenghi live in London last night. The audience was in hysterics :) I'd been without wifi for a few days so was hoping for some nudity, but alas no.
