From unpopular bumbling mediocre student to maybe the true hero of the story, Neville's character arc had quite the transformation as did Matthew Lewis the actor who portrayed him in the series. With my comic background I would say Neville is the Captain America of this group of misfits who even leads Dumbledore's Army when Harry, Hermione, and Ron are gone.
