Matthew is a very smart, intelligent individual but sometimes people " overthink " too much. It is okay to doubt and question about things in life, but I sense Matthew has a hard time with the word " Literal " ... In believing God can do all things that the human mind can not comprehend. I wrestle with that myself sometimes, because of the doubt which satan tries to put in our brains all the time. BUT That is where our FAITH in God comes into play. If Matthew ( or anyone ) believes in God and does not doubt He created the Heavens and Earth, then why could God not appear through a burning bush? Moses was a mortal human and God's glory would have been too much for him to handle. There is no magic trick, God just wants our Faith and Trust in Him. Don't overthink it, accept it, LITERALLY ! I too pray for Matthew to be touched by the Holy Spirit and calm the doubt that apparently Matthew has. Can you imagine the impact that Matthew could & would have on people in guiding lost souls to salvation through Jesus. Hollywood isn’t okay with any religious people. The Jews in Hollywood are 100% secular. No religion at all. They are Jewish by ethnicity and name and that’s it. As an observant, religious Jew I can tell you that secular Jews are not representative of Jews or our religion. Secular Jews are just like any other atheist Americans, and have more in common culturally with atheist Americans than with religious Jews. Hollywood has no problem with them because they are just like any other atheists. If religious Jews started entering Hollywood then of course they would be targeted in the same way that believing Christians are targeted.

@Morgh123 Unfortunately the majority of Jews in America are assimilated and are Jewish only by ethnicity and maybe food traditions. It’s comparable to let’s say Irish Americans. Irish Americans are ethnically Irish, have Irish names, and maybe eat Irish style food, have pride about being Irish, but don’t know the Irish language, don’t really know Irish traditions and culture. It’s like that.
@Morgh123 Exactly. And it’s honestly quite embarrassing to me as an observant Jew when people assume all Jews are educated in terms of Judaism, because then the impression that non-Jews get about Jews and Judaism is completely incorrect. When they look to their one Jewish coworker or classmate for answers to their questions on Jewish traditions and beliefs, they generally receive completely inaccurate answers. Most secular Jews know as much about Judaism and Jewish history as they know about Christianity. That’s why I’m so grateful for movements like Chabad and Aish, which reach out to secular Jews and try to show them more of the tradition and culture that they are so disconnected from as a result of Americanizing/Westernizing.
