I highly recommend A Time for Mercy....it is great. Only issue I had was how fast it ended, and how everything wrapped up nicely.

If they make this a movie I hope we see Matthew return as Jake!!!

That was a treat. Great to see The McConaughey back in the arena - if only fleetingly, and tantalisingly - as Jake Brigance. No one else can handle that role the way he did. Fingers crossed he's back in the same role, with Harry Rex and all the other wonderful scoundrels when Hollywood comes calling for the film version. Grisham and McConaughey - proof that lightening sometimes strikes twice. Thank you Gentlemen.

A Time to Kill was cast perfectly! We have both new Grisham and new McConaughey books to look forward to in the very near future.

I just finished the last page and had to come looking for anything I could find and stumbled upon this. I love John Grisham novels and I love MM as Jake Brigance, I pictured him the entire time I was reading.

With the collection of characters you have come up with, Jake Brigance and Time to kill, started me on a journey that is something I cant thank you enough for. I will watch the movie again tonight, and look forward to the return of Jake in Time for mercy. Cant wait.

I too hope to see Matthew McConaughey as Jake if this is made into a movie. He is a great actor and I have probably seen all of his movies. I love the character Jake and can’t wait to read. Thank you for bringing him back.

Awesome reading, Matt! Looking forward to seeing this come to life through film. My father, William Davis, had the wonderful opportunity to know John while practicing law. Always respected him and thought the world of him. He sadly passed away right after I became a writer but had only the very best things to say about John and his talents as an exceptional attorney and prolific writer.

I loved "A Time to Kill" and I know that I will love "A Time for Mercy". I know that John Grisham writes book as fast as he can, but I wish he could write at least one a month as good as these two books. I love all his books!

Other than possibly John Cusack (he fit Nicholas Easter really well), this was the best cast lead character in the movies. People are wondering about a movie, but does John even sell the rights to his novels any longer? You'd think that Netflix or (especially) Amazon would have come round sniffing for Theo Boone at the very least, as a limited series. I'm looking forward to spending more time with Jake either way.

They should have Matthew McConaughey Play Jake brigants in Sycamore as a movie and of course a time for Mercy as a movie. They may need to increase the time span between the books but I'm sure they could make it work. Donald Sutherland is still around and of course Ashley Judd should of course resume her role as his wife. I think they would make for some excellent film
