I won't lie. As someone who worked in news writing & publishing, this is how I feel everytime the editor decides to re-write and just change completely an article I've written.

Right there with ya. I've had work absolutely butchered before by heavy handed editors.

honestly guys that is the reason why i probably did not become a journalist in the first place. i did 2 different internships and both times it happened that after ive handed in my article not only were changes made (which in itself is completely fine they have more experience than what i had) but sometimes the articles were shortened and / or the meaning of the article was changed so that it did not make 100% sense anymore. pissed me probably of more than it should but thats why i decided to do something else in my study course.

"If I knew you were comin' I'd a baked a cake." I haven't heard anyone talk about "Exit 57" since it went off the air about 20 years ago. For those of you who don't know, "Exit 57" was a sketch comedy show in the late nineties with several members of the "Strangers With Candy" crew. At the risk of sounding Hipstery, "I was into Exit 57 before it was cool."

March 14, 2004 Colbert starred in Law and Order: Criminal Intent .Season 3, Episode 16 “The Saint" From TV Guide: Plot. A gift causes a killing that involves a charitable foundation and a frequent contributor. Richard Sullivan: Brian Murray. Betty Bennett: Lois Smith. James Bennett: Stephen Colbert. Sean Sullivan: Timothy Doyle. Eames: Kathryn Erbe. Goren: Vincent D’Onofrio. In this clip from current show LSSC with Stephen Colbert, he is mostly trying to elicit humor. In “The Saint” he did a masterful, understated dramatic role. Just as Robin Williams turned on his dramatic side and left comedy out of his acting, you would NEVER have guessed that Colbert was a comedian when watched originally 13 years ago. I didn’t start watching “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart until Colbert left in 2005 to do “The Colbert Report.” Incredible job by Colbert! He portrayed a brilliant forger cowed by his overbearing mother. AND it involved the Roman Catholic Church trying to bestow sainthood on “Father Jerome” and Colbert brings up his Catholic Faith a lot.
