@@romypie3725 “Matthew McConaughey and wife Camila Alves are taking their three children and heading off to Brazil to visit her family for the holidays. To prepare, the Sing star says his kids are brushing up on their Portuguese. "The kids are taking Portuguese classes for the last week," McConaughey told Jimmy Fallon on Tuesday's Tonight Show. "They already know a lot of Portuguese, but they're taking Portuguese classes five hours a day for the last week in prep for going on this trip." (2016)
@@firstlast8258 I get what you're saying. I don't like it when other people speak for me, when they say "we" in their statement that encompasses all people. For instance, if someone were to say, "We have become a nation of lazy degenerates," I'd want to say, "Don't include me in your 'we,' speak for yourself!" Another example is when someone says to me, "Life is short," I'm always tempted to say, "Speak for yourself! My life is as long as I make it to be!"

Yes children can be a blessing. Sadly enough ... when they grow up and choose their own paths - the only time they find time for you is around the holidays or when you're about to take your final nap. What's on their minds is what in it for them. Most of us think of providing their children with a better life or at least guiding them in the right direction. In a lot of cases, All For NOT. You've given them your best BUT it's not good enough or fallen on deaf ears. Someone always has a cooler dad than you.
I love a childs attitude before the harsh world change them. Cheers to the ones that do not let the harsh world dictate who they are. Mr Mcconaughey your brilliant and its rubbing off.
The best takeaway from this is a father having a conversation with his son, interested in his thoughts, and dad truly listening. This is real parenting. Simple conversations showing true interest. I love it and I’m here for it! ❤
When my daughter was two she was watching a muppet movie. Kermit said why do we dream. My daughter said out loud, “ we dream cause it gives us hope!” So very true. Kids never fail to surprise us. Out of the mouth of babes they say.
Sounds like you and your family are in a good place ... I'm happy for you. Not all of us have the same experiences or come from a solid family foundation. Life goes on.
@@garylagera7584 that’s very true. It’s sad when people don’t have a family connection but they can grow up to live wonderful lives and all the people around them are family. Family is not just about the people in your home. All the wonderful connections with others can be very helpful. Family doesn’t live forever or stay together at times. We move forward adopting others into our lives. The key is to say as positive as you can. Be thankful for even the smallest things. I have had a lot of bad luck happen in my life. I just keep telling myself there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Someday I will reach that light:) May you find your happy ending:) I wish you the best in your life. :)
You are so real and God gave you so many gifts . Glad you take time to reach out and chat with us guys .keep looking up and stay grounded Brother . Thanks Mathew .
hon, that was perfect!! I'm a Nana, 63...from ol' NC, and grandchildren constantly amaze me. You and Camila are doing something right. He is going to be full of stories when he gets back. Get ready Dad, God bless Matthew to you and your whole family👍😃💗💗💗💗💗🙏🏼
Matt, you have a beautiful wife inside and out. She gave you them beautiful children. You are seriously very very fortunate. May your marriage continue to grow and prosper.
I can't stand that expression. His child is not a "little man". He is a boy. If he were a practicing Jew, then he would be a man (religiously) at the age of 13. Otherwise, in the USA, he cannot be a man until he's 18 years of age, no matter how physically "little" or "big" he might be.
@@tammydenham9595 So why do you get so twisted when someone wants to correct a grammatical (or other type of) error in their comment? I would say to practice what you preach.
😊 that's exactly how I brought my daughter up with freedom and we showed her how n our step children too..and they are mature and they think for themselves..great pa pa..🫠🫡👌
