I literally just finished The Americans so I came to RU-vid to help the bitter/sweet feeling of it being over and I had no idea that Matthew and Keri were actually together until I just saw them kiss. It’s awesome
i knew they were together when i saw their on screen chemistry. Keri left her previous husband for matthew. Good choice. Matt is a riot. If you watch interviews he's one of the funniest people ive ever seen speak, i wish he would become a comedian.
I love his real accent! I think the Americans was the best show of the last decade and truly they deserved so many more awards Matthew and Keri, they were extraordinary!
Never would have thought he was from Wales with his perfect american accent on the show. Like some people you can hear on certain words here and there that they're not really americans but this guy oh my gosh, 6 seasons and I had no idea.
How lovely is Keri! I love love love her! I like how she first gave a tough badass reaction, then she was immediately brought to her shy, emotional state, and the girl next door self.
It’s one show that increases with quality. I thought frank gads actor was also a standout but I admit every time Mathew is the focus he just steals the show. Even Keri who is definitely a great actor is often following his lead.
Yeah, I really miss the Walker family and especially Kevin & Scotty. Disney/ABC prematurely cancelled the show probably because they thought they could get better ratings for the Desperate Housewives lead out show. Unfortunately that never happened and it made us viewers miss out on a satisfying ending to the B&S storylines. It did however make Matthew available for The Americans, so that’s some comfort.
Seriously watch Noah's acting in this show. Any time he has to convey a negative emotion or inner conflict he just stands still and blinks. He blinks one eye harder than the other like a flinch. Every season, nearly every episode. Lost respect. I can't imagine being a director and that being what I had to work with. Apologies in advance because you won't be able to unsee it.
@@NotIfICU1st_ idk if you pay attention much to the show but.. thats part of his character. His past as an undercover member of a white supremacist hate group has absolutely destroyed his emotional vulnerability & his ability to express those emotions. Those “ticks” you mentioned are also a touch he added. He was very good in the show, maybe just pay attention.
He was excellent. Should have won multiple years. Was definitely a strong second best actor on the show. That Keri didn’t win at least one time for The Americans is ridiculous.
He was better than Keri, the proof is he won and she didn't...plus look at that accent, he does a perfect American accent in the show, she does not have to do that, he is better in many ways.
I am neither Russian, nor East European, but I am born in the CCCP and I loved the show. The script is outstanding, the main actors are huge talents. I have no nostalgia about the Soviet Union, as I was just four when it collapsed. I suppose there were also a lot of good things about SU. But as the show could picture it, the war in Afghanistan and systemic corruption were deadly for the country.
@@Collins1118 this is a good show, not flawless, but one of this kind in the USA where russians are not really painted well.. this show surprised me a lot and the acting, the plot itself is superb!
debbie nichols I know she was nominated but never won an Emmy for this show. Which she deserved to win. Don’t think she won an Emmy for Felicity either. Wonder what awards she did win. Matthew definitely deserved to win, but so did she. Who’s the better actor of the two? Keri Russel has said she passes on a lot of roles, it takes a lot for her to say yes so she doesn’t have as diverse a portfolio as he does. Also the fact that he has a thick Welsh accent in real life makes his American portrayals more impressive.
Hi! The series is good, but the USSR was not the same as it was shown in the series. In the series only lies )) I lived at that time, the police went without weapons, with an empty holster on their belt, at the airport they checked only the plane ticket, they didn't even ask for documents, there were no empty shelves in stores, this began only in 1990, when the USSR was falling apart.
