I’m also out here in Seattle, and Matti is THE reason I am now a filmmaker. Would watch and listen to all his tutorials during the travel feels days during an accounting internship back in 2017. Never looked back!

OMG!! WOW, I almost cried when I heard you saying that you "were" a Mechanical Engineer because I am a Mechanical Engineer and I quit my job to simply be a "filmmaker" and basically get a channel and create videos! I had a high-paying job/career in the biomedical field for so long but now I am following my passion - photography/film! Thank you for the encouragement, I needed it to hear/see your video for a boost! I also follow Matti and I remember that video but for some reason, the "procedure" of LEARN-MAKE-REPEAT only hit me now because of you Jake!! THANK YOUUUUU!! You are the BEST!!

Love 💗 this! I feel this so much. I use to record things on my parents VHS recorder all the time. I’ve always enjoyed it, but also never believed it was possible. Went on to be a nurse. Now if I survive taking care of all these COVID patients I’m not going to take this for granted and LEARN, MAKE, REPEAT.

Here I am sitting at work. Doing what you did. I just got done watching one of Matti's new uploads. Trying to learn more. I'm always craving more. Great video that’ll have to rewatch again later due to being in a public space and without headphones. But I got the gist, you do you and I’m glad you made the change! I did the same, but I quit being a physician to be a train conductor/locomotive engineer. It was a good decision, but I look forward to giving back to my community and using that skill set again for free.

I remember I came across your channel about a year ago when I first made mine and I found it so cool that you quit your job as an engineer (I'm also an engineer but electrical) and followed what you loved! Then, I couldn't believe you also bought a van to live in which I really wanted to as well back then. I actually just bought my own Transit, and even believe that one day making videos about what I love can actually be a reality. I just wanted to let you know, that you sir have played a significant part in inspiring me and I personally feel your videos how come a long way even over the year I've been watching! One of the biggest things I've learned over the years is exactly that. Just making stuff regularly will lead to growth. There just needs to be a lot of patience for the processes.
