I can't help but have a great Liquid Tension Experiment feel with this.

Otherwordly meter ability and one of the most eccentrically talented guitarist out there. I always thought Malmsteen had the smoothest and most efficient right hand picking technique of all shredders, but the Viking has a more diverse technique.

Hey Mattias! You crazy "metal" guy HAHA! Really diggin' all your music, bands and approach across the board(pun intended). Now that i understand better where you're coming from as a musician, I can definitely appreciate all of this stuff MORE now. I mean I liked it before but now!? Much more! It's interesting to know that you started as a drummer as well to learn rhythm better!? I too did a similar thing but started with guitar first. When i first heard Meshuggah in 1995 I only had a very small grasp of all of these excellent, crazy patterns that really form the basis for all the music you guys all seem to be playing over there in, Sweden! Skol!
