sounds like you just have a disdain for figures like Osteen. He never was the kind of figure that would do only the kinds of things like a Mack or other similar guys/girls would do so they're the expected professionals at that.

Love mack. But what would you have had Osteen do? Swim out into an 500 year flood to see if he could open his building? And on top of that, what if he does do that, and the waters continue to rise? If something happened to people inside, now he's liable and he would've been the villain for that as well... I think Osteen got a lot of heat for something he shouldn't have. That is an unprecedented situation that you can't expect someone to predict the future. Especially with the flood waters where they were. Luckily their flood barriers held up, but if they had failed or the water had risen any higher, many bad things could've happened. I'm not saying everyone should love the guy, but I'm certainly not saying everyone should hate the guy either.

I don't know if you've ever been to Osteen's building, but there is an upper deck that would have kept people safe even if the lower level took in water. The upper deck alone, seats thousands.
