Chantecaille doesn’t really hit it for me anymore but in terms of being mature skin friendly, it is. I think it’s moved from color stories to a stable of well done products. Sylvie the founder was an OG at Prescriptives so when that was killed by EL Chantecaille piqued my interest.

Omg, this is FANTASTIC! You used Clinique as a child?! I used to be a Personal Consultant for Clinique and I LOVED that little part time job. They sent me to different malls in North and South Carolina and to different Department Stores. The Southern Women’s Shoe and Southern Christmas Show were so much fun as a Clinique PC. My favorite was seeing the different generations coming to get set up on a skin care regimen. It was fun to teach how much of the product needed to be used. (I miss it so much!). This is the first vid I've seen with your Mom. As a follower of yours that's close to your Mom's age, I enjoyed "meeting" her - she's fantastic! I also enjoyed watching the two of you interact. I have a daughter who does NOT wear makeup so I never had the opportunity to share beauty/makeup with her. You are really talking me into trying that Chantecaille foundation. I'm he same shade as you are. I love the final look. Ironically, I ended up destashing the 4 Cle de Peau palettes I bought. For me, it wasn't quite as bold as I prefer. I'm interested in the Biologique Recherche Lotion you both use. I'll be buying that. For me, La Mer is just too heavy. I really enjoyed this vid for so many resaons. More pleasse!

Oh you did great and it is not that easy on mature skin. I am 56 and it is not very easy where the eyes have wrinkles especially for the eyeliner. But even though you say you are not a mua you definitely have the talent and skills for it. Great job, well done!!!

I forgot to say, you might want to suggest Mac Painterly Paint Pot to your Mom as an eye primer. But, Clinique also has a great eyeshadow base that works great too.
Nice, but LaMer is way out of my range for skincare. And $140 for an eye shadow quad, eek! I’d love a video using products that are mid range that people can afford. Ex: Dior, Nars, Drunk Elephant, etc
Your mom seems lovely. I’ve never seen her on one of your videos before. Makes me want to dig back and find where she’s appeared before. Also, I must know, is your mom an engineer? She’s used some words / phrasing that’s made me suspicious. Either that or some sort of materials science. Maybe even a chemist? I’m mechanical so anytime I see another lady engineer is makes me smile. Anyway, love your video and happy holidays to you and your family.
