Absolutely love Jo's editing style, it plays so well together with Mauler's dry humor. I was cracking up the entire time. Hope to see more highlights like this cause these are great!
There i was, watching the Outlast 2 birthday stream, and what do i see? I highlights reel of just what i was watching. Thanks DoJanger, you're're pretty alright, and Moooooooler, for Commissioning this.
I would love a horror game or movie where the protagonist acts more like that scene in the wire where Bunk and McNuley walk around softly and exasperatedly saying "fuck", instead of just shouting it over and over. Similar to Laurence Fishburne in Event Horizon.
There's a indie horror game called "Bad Ben" that let's you do that. It refers to it as a "situational awareness mechanic". The game is a tie in to some Amazon joke horror movies.
It all began back in 1983: It was a beautiful, but infamous coin muncher called DRAGON'S LAIR. 30 years later, Outlast is doing about the same thing, - without the coin munching, but being rather ugly... 🤭
Dwang. Did I miss the part where the stupid music loops with that one note at 300% volume - or was it not included in the cut? Dwoing. 38:24 There it is. Baduoung.
It is. No one likes the second one. Remember that mechanic that only comes in 1 time at the end of a chase and never again? And also wasn't even explained
Whoop !! Not enough choc-liquor before/while playing this duder ;) Bare foot, or Bear foot.. it makes a difference. This was super fun duder. Could've done with more. Cheers for your time.
Had a friend who was high off an edible while playing this game, after the church scene he said he felt like his body was being torn apart and he had a seizure as a result. That was the more horrifying thing to happen then what happens in the game.
I strongely dislike this game. Maybe if it didn't have the OUtlast name (Because it's not Outlast to me) or didn't spend half of the game kicking a religious group in the face like a Redditor, I'd like it more but even then the spooky randomness I dislike a lot. In the first game you knew what was going on, it wasn't spooky mystery trash.
he mentioned the movie game thing, so ive always been of the opinion that i dont ee a problem with limited or restrictive gameplay elements in a game or that its wrong to priioritize story over having gameplay. like soma has barely any gameplay mechanics to it but is an extremely valuable experience that doesnt inherently benefit from more mechanics. I think the conversation should be whether or not the mechanics present function as intended and should mechanics that arent already, be present in order to enhance the experience or meaningfully add to it, not just to make the game more of a game
To be fair the "Inception Brawn" in this instance is one of the references to Biblical imagery. It's not just because it was trendy, a loud horn is actually important to what's happening.
