Thanks for watching! We do that here in the fall from the bank of Lake Erie! During the Maumee River walleye run though there’s a single hook law in effect so that’s why the carolina rig is the most popular!

You can always take off all treble hooks leaving just the one in the back.

Hey great content I just found your channel today I’ve never fished over there but definitely wanna try it I was wondering why don’t you use a slip sinker on your rig so the fish don’t feel your weight

Thanks for watching! I’ve thrown slip sinkers before but found that I snag way less with the in-line sinkers!

I have a question, thrid one and fifth one,are they the nominal jig head (no floating)or special floating jig head?

I mentioned in one of your other videos that I haven't fished there in at least 25 years. We always used weighted jig heads of 3/8 to about 5/8. Is this the new way everyone is doing it or do people still leadheads? Also, wondering what the advantages are. Probably less snags and keeping the jig in the strike zone? Also, is there an advantage to using braid over mono for the main line? Thanks.

Thanks for watching! For the most part I see everyone throwing floating jigheads. The biggest advantages are like you said, less snags and keeping the jig in the strike zone. I have also heard that the led heads can still be productive for certain approaches. I prefer braid for the mainline for the extra sensitivity + strength!
