Maureen O'Hara, Robert Osborne, How Green Was My Valley 

SHE WAS 93 HERE! WOW! STILL A GREAT SENSE OF HUMOUR AND A HUMBLE AND BEAUTIFUL LADY!

Two of the greats now gone. Maureen O'hara was always my favorite and Robert Osborne had a Hollywood library between those ears and was such a pleasure to hear him review movies on TCM. RIP to 2 Icons of the industry!

Her looks of course have changed but the lovely Irish lilt in her voice remains. Bless her heart and may she rest in peace.

One of the truly great people of our time. So humble and yet feisty! And she gave the sign of the cross, blessing everyone who came to see her.

Rest in Peace to a dear lady and wonderful actress.

I've loved her since I saw THE QUIET MAN as a child. Her autobiography is truly one of the best I've ever read.

She's the only Hollywood actor remaining that I'd really love to meet and thank for her work. What a lovely, talented woman

I sent her a fan letter in the early 2000's and she sent me back two gorgeous 8 by 10 photographs of her when she was young and signed them both "To Jill". I treasure those two gifts still, after all these years later. 😊

Its so wonderful to see her but also hard to see her frailness but her mind for her age seems very good. God bless her.

Everytime I hear the Lerner and Loewe ballad "Heather On The Hill", I think of Maureen O'Hara because she sang a terrific performance of the song on TV.

Miracle on 34th Street, The Quiet man, she was undeniably magic.....a real movie star.

She makes me proud to be Irish :) She also inspires me to become an actress. As far as I know, Maureen was the only Irish actress in Hollywood during the golden years, and that makes her extra special :)

She starred with John Wayne in The Quiet Man , Rio Grande, Big Jake , and McClintock. She played with Henry Fonda in SPENSERS MOUNTAIN ( just like Waltons Mountain). She is still charming and lovely though frail. She was beautiful magic on film, and I love so many of her movies. Her modesty and her religious belief makes me think she is a peaceful and beautiful woman inside as well as outside.

Oh God, bless her! She is too sweet, and so, so funny! Really, who knew she was that funny!? She is adorably precious and a national treasure. She brought tears to my eyes, and made laugh and smile very brightly! I really wish I could've been at the TCM festival. Any chance you will ever bring it to Canada? I got to meet Ms O'Hara on her 93rd birthday in 2015 in Boise, ID. What a great lady and we talked about sharing the same birthday and she thought that was great. I loved this lady and she will be greatly missed.

This was one of my best moments of all the TCMFF's that I attended, sitting , listening so fortunate, Roberts gone now too passing away today 3/6 together again

Maureen O'Hara arguably the most beautiful Red-Head who has ever graced God's green Earth. She was absolutely gorgeous and John Wayne was the luckiest man in the World to have her undying affection and friendship.

I've just finished watching ' How green was my valley ' again, and wept prodigiously throughout. Ms. O'Hara starred in the film, and she was oh so achingly beautiful. At one point I found her smile so captivating that I froze the picture and just sat staring at it. Her beauty was quite dazzling.

OMG she is still going. God bless her Irish heart and experiences. One of the few still around from the great day of Hollywood.

Wow, what a sweet lady! I think I heard someone yelling "Sláinte" at the end there.

What a legend. Why hasn't she gotten an Honorary Oscar yet? In her book, she once asked Roddy McDowall that and he said that she would never get recognition from Hollywood by Hollywood, and I think its due to John Ford, but honestly, it's time, don't you think?

I so wish I knew Osborne. He and I are on the same page on things having to do with movies. I wouldn't want to know him only because he's famous. He and I would have a lot to talk about. I'm watching his presentation of Paul Robeson in a movie directed by one of the Korda's.

What a woman! They don't make 'em like her anymore! A priceless, national treasure - that's one thing anyone can say about Maureen O'Hara. A class act. We can all learn from her about how special life is by her example.

I LOVE that woman! In my doctoral work, we had a colloquium on Death and Suffering in World Religions. Weekly movies, we watched How Green...fabulous. shadowlands, English version, The Doctor...good times.
