April 8.25" (love the long 6.8" mellow tail with 14" WB), Venture 5.6 Titaniums with 94a indy bushings no threads showing (hold that line stability and light weight) with Roger Bagley Dragon formula 52mm change the game wheels. Can we get Megan Baltimore and Rick Howard on the show?
I got a Girl G027 14" WB 8.25, Ace 44's, spitfire F4 lock ins 101a 53mm, spitfire bearings for tech/tricks. Then I got a slappy/street setup 9" santa cruz medium concave 15" wb with rails 169 Indy's(med/hard bushings) and dragons 54mm,bones super reds.
Can you try to get the 9 club alumni to do a board set up when they come back on the experience? It would be a shame not to get board setups from all the greats who have already had episodes. These are the best.
@@Provemerightthx Yeah I found a playlist that has them all. I got lucky enough to talk to Chris Cole at a skatepark and he gave me a couple reasons why you shouldn't skate trucks bigger than your board but I still do it.. If you wan't raw knowledge Ben Degros channel is really good.
I’m pretty sure you guys already said this, but It would be awesome to see Chris, Dubz, Eldy, Steezus, and Kelly’s board set ups as well👍 AND definitely down to see more of Eldys road-trips!
Santa Cruz/Creature should offer the 14" WB on 8" and 8.25 at least for one standard board each drop. They mostly seem to do that only for VX and everslicks for Creature/Santa Cruz
Been riding Crobs twin paddle 8.5 in black with 9 club grip since it came out. Half the time it’s in my trunk and still rides pretty much like new. It’s my park setup with Indy 149’std, bones medium bushings and 58mm hawk wheels on Swiss bearings. Thank you Crob, that deck changed the game for me!!!
I ride 8.25 with 149s. I felt like I was doing something stupid cause they are 8.5 trucks. Glad other people do it too. Also prefer the indy bushings even though everyone swears by the bones ones. Strange i never ran into this guy cause he's kinda from my part of the woods.
I ride an 8.25 and was just looking at the 149s ( online). before I purchase its probably worth asking why did you feel like you was doing something wrong? do they they stick out the board too far or do they feel weird to ride..?
Bones bushings could be great. But the issue is they break so fast and the plastic part busts through. So it never feels like you can find the Goldie locks zone and even when you do. They will bust within a month. Best just to break in the bushings that come with your trucks.
INDY 92A BUSHINGS ARE THE BEST. Great urethane, NO GIMMICKS. i am a very fat & tall man, and i took my top washer off (cuz it was clinking when i turned) and JUST use the bushing. I have the standard & conical set, and i recommend them BOTH. Bones double-duro bushings are gimmicky. Not that they don't work, but just invest in good urethane that will only get better w/ time.
The only reason I loved new truck day was I skated indys and those shits sucked balls after a week of skating the axel would be bent so new truck day meant not bent axels. Until I switched to thunders and I never had that issue again. Either thunder or ventures are way better then indys.
I'm Rocking the Thunder Titanium Light's 147's with Bones Hard Bushing's they last the longest and Riptide Pivot Cups and with all custom Titanium Hardware straight from Japan I'm talking all the way down to the bushing cups to the 7/8th's hardware to the 4 Axle nuts even the tiny little 4 nuts are titanium that screw on the 7/8th's hardware and it's even got a custom titanium hollow Kingpin from Japan custom made yeah were talking 1 of a kind trucks here Rust free and Extra Extra Strong no more snapping hardware here! on some Bones Swiss Ceramics $160 bearings and some spitfire formula 4's sorry guys didn't mean to shine on ya to hard lol but my setup is next Lvl. not even pro skaters got this type of setup my shit is Crazy wild Banana's lol my board is a Creature 8.25 Vx and MoB Griptape! oh shit not to mention i got sk8kings Steel Bearing spacers its helps put less stress on the bearings don't buy aluminum bearing spacers they will shred inside your bearings and destroy them! also i dont hear about a lot of people rocking the bearing spacers it will save your bearing's and they will last a lot longer.
Im so tired of people confusing the wheelbase with the overall length of the board. A wheelbase only changes stability of the board where as the length of the board is predicated to the height and age of the rider or at least it should have worked that way. Example a 10 yr should ride 7.0 deck with wheelbase 14.27/.75 and the boards length should be 27-30in compared to a 8.25 32in length
I feel like the only reason people replace their bushings with bones bushings is because they heard someone else say they do it. Bones bushings are the worst i've ever used, they blow out so quick
Everyone skates different weights different leans into the bushing different do what works for you I skate the stock bushing with all my trucks ace thunder and indy the only bushing I would change would be venture they don’t turn for crap 💩
