Hi there thanks for watching! It was actually loads of fun taking my way down the coast check out the video of Morocco to Mauritania. This was my backup camera actually it's an Akaso v50 pro and it just stopped working about a week later which sucked. I've now joined the GoPro family. Anyways feel free to hit me up
How much did you pay for that hotel room in Mauritania? I just watched this Spanish RU-vidr make the journey from Spain to Dakar via bus. He walked into it somewhat unprepared and ended up staying in some awful places in Mauritania. I believe that the place he stayed in in the capitol city had roaches coming out of the bed.
Thanks for watching, appreciate it. I believe the hotel, the Best SemiRamis Hotel in Nouakchott, was around 170Euro for two nights. Decent hotels in Africa generally set you back quite a bit, but I'd done my best to save a bit of money on my journey so could afford a couple of nights there. Literally the best hotel I've ever stayed at in Africa (and the most expensive). I certainly don't regret spending the money! I have a review on this place you can check out - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-vh7zeCw1aVU.html Again, thanks for watching and your support. Also Air BnBs are a decent option in Africa, stayed at a decent one in Dakar (and a couple in Morocco) which were decent value for money.
Hi there and thanks for watching. I paid 5000cfa for the boat and they wouldnt move and I didn't really have a choice. Not sure if things are different nowadays or if the bridge is open. Be aware crossing there you CAN be exposed to scammers and touts, i think I was super lucky
thanks for watching. I paid 5000cfa on the pirogue which is about 15 Euro at a guess and about 3 Euro to some guy on the Senegalese side. The mini bus from Nouakchott I can't remember but it wouldnt have been more than 10-15 Euros same with the sept place to St Louis. At some point the bridge will be finished I guess and it will be easier. I was expecting to be asked to pay a lot more in the way in bribes. as you can see it was super quiet. so I figure i got lucky because it was a Friday and it was Ramadan at the time.
