Pro 2 if you love color grading. Air 2 for almost everything else. I recently sold my p4 pro for the air 2 because of the style we typically shoot and workflow.

More power to everyone using the mavic pro 2, but I genuinely think the mavic air 2 looks higher quality. The retention of shadows and highlights is simply superior to my eyes.

Yes. I had the mavic one and always thought the footage was garbage, the mavic 2 and zoom were also just meh. I felt the p4 pro was far superior but people made a bid deal about 10bit🤷‍♂️.

Thanks for sharing this video, I really enjoyed it. Yes, the battery life is so good on the Mavic Air 2 that sometimes I end up looking for more things to shoot just in order to run the batteries down. Sometimes I wish I had waited for the Air 2 S for it's larger sensor, but I'm not sure what I think about the props unintentionally showing up in the videos and the slightly shorter flight times. If DJI can rectify the prop issue, I may go ahead and step up to the Air 2 S.

Thank you for the video... just picked up my Mavic Air 2 yesterday! Had a really hard time between the Mini 2 that just came out vs the Air 2. After Phantom 3 Advanced this would be my first small drone again. Looks like a made a good choice seeing the scenes at 11:29! Mavic Pro 2 is a little expensive for me to do get back in to the hobby again :) Cheers and stay safe!

Great video comparison. Thank You. One question I have for you did you have filters on the drone at the time of flight and if so which filters? I believe I see on on the Air2. I am a newer drone pilot and purchased the air2 about a month ago so I have little to no knowledge of differences between models except what I have viewed on RU-vid. I am blown away by the Air2 so far, Again, great job!

Thanks for the personal perspective: so many people try to make absolute comparisons and then fail to factor in the price! When two items are so far apart in price the technical differences can't be compared in such blunt terms. Plenty of people flying the higher end drones are flocking to get a Mini as a back-up or for run & gun shooting. Some are going for the Air 2, and it's probably all based on price, not spec. My question for you and your subs: Mavic Pro 3 or Mavic Air 2 Pro (or 3)? Which will come out first? I didn't chose the Air 2, it was bought for me without my input, but I probably would've chosen it anyway, but I would've been dithering between them because of the 1" sensor. I've been looking for info on possible compatibility of a Pro 2 sensor/gimbal upgrade onto an Air 2, so for me I would expect the Pro 3 to come closer to the Air 2, or the Air 2 to have an upgrade option - such as a Pro sensor package. Thoughts?

Another key difference I have just discovered.. you cannot (and will not be able in future to) do mapping with Mavic Air 2 - through automated waypoint flights. (Virtual sticks only) which is a significant distinction. If you just want a good fun video drone that's portable.. get the MA2.. if you want to do any mapping - get the M2Pro.

Great Video footage and explanation of both the Mavic Air 2 and Mavic Pro 2. I recently purchased a Mavic Air 2 Used but in great condition, I also want the Mavic Pro 2 but new is very expensive. Is it worth while to buy the Mavic Pro 2 used for around $1300 or keep what I have?

I'm thinking for most average hobbiests, spending about twice the amount on the Pro isn't really worth it, unless you need to shoot lots of low light/night photos and video with the Pros bigger sensor.

For some reason, I do not have the small icon in the lower center of the screen. That is the remote to drone feature.. I had it and then it disappeared. Does anyone know how to get it back?

Hi~Great video~but I just curious about the video you shoot on both M2P and MA2, did the 2 drones videos that you're shooting based on the same settings? such as same shutter speed, same ISO, same WB and etc? and the post production output as well~

@@jordanjenny8367 si thats most important feature in Mavic 2 pro and you failed to mention. Regardless what you like but to make fair comparison you must mention such features not because you don't care about them but some people may find it deal breaker

When you quote the wind speed you've flown it in, are you referring to sustained wind speed or wind gust speed?

7:40 Did you have a decent GPS lock on the air two when over the water? It uses both GPS and downward facing sensors to hold its position, so I would assume that it was the moving water underneath that was messing with the downward sensors. You could try turning off obstacle avoidance, but I'm not sure if it disables the position hold feature of these sensors..

Obstacle avoidance won’t change anything, It’s the visual position system that uses what it sees underneath as reference so it can hover still in the wind, it sees the water like it is drifting in the wind so it counters this by moving with the water. It’s a scary scary thing in flood water, I’ve nearly lost a few drones like this, all different models from p4pro, mavic air and mavic mini.

@@jordanjenny8367 I agree, I had the air 2 and it is super fun to fly, more refined AT & APAS, flight time, weight. It also seems to prioritize visual positioning over GPS when available which allows flight indoors with surprising confidence ;). But I need 10-bit and better low light so I had to get the chunky M2P :( planning to get a mavic air 2 again for keeps but $$$.

M2P for photos and the air 2 for video but if you already have the MP2 then there's no reason to buy the air 2.

The air 2 in 4k zoom looks like the zoom. Just leave it in zoom 4k but don't zoom in

@@jordanjenny8367 So I'm getting a pretty sweet deal on the M2P. I'm getting it at the same price as the Mavic Air 2. That's why I'm having a hard time deciding. Also, the Mavic Air 2 isn't available in my country right now. But the M2P is easily available.

Mavic 2 Pro. Mavic 2 Zoom. DJI aren’t producing the Mavic Pro now, it’s replaced with the Mavic Air 2. Was never a Mavic Pro 2.

Yeah if you turn the sensors off, it should stay still and not wander.

The bottom sensors stay on, even when you disable the obstacle avoidance. The bottom sensors are indeed following the water but they have trouble doing that as well due to reflectivity and the amorphous surface. The GPS tells it one thing and the sensors tell it another. That’s why DJI gives you the warnings about flying over water. But we all get great shots over rivers and lakes!
