Great job Alex and Mike. I primarily fly heavy lifters and the I2, and have been considering the little Air for it's portability and step up in quality over the other little machines.
love it. definitely a substantial amount of information to understand where that drone sits in the market! thanks for always being super credible and sharing your knowledge.
Amazing footage! Amazing review! Overall a well thought out video and it looks like you definitely had a blast in the making. Can’t wait for another video from you all! 👍💲
As always, great review! Shocked to see how awesome the camera is for being so tiny! I don’t know how the drone wouldn’t just fly away in a wind gust! Ugh, your reviews always make me want to get another drone! But they just keep getting better and better and....
Awesome Review Guys!!! Very real and indepth. really enjoyed learning all the ins and outs of the Mavic Air. As a phantom 4 Pro flyer im not sure if im ready to swap it out but as a addition i think it would deffinatly fill the void of thos times when you dont want to lug around the bigger drone. Keep up the content!!!
Hey Dan! Thanks for the feedback mate, we wanted to talk a bit more in length about it and give our thoughts, Mike is very experienced and an accomplished drone pilot so it's always good to have him on these DJI reviews as he's a straight shooter. Yeah it's definitely a good little quadcopter with amazing video and picture qualities for it's size. Your phantom 4 Pro is still king! We'll keep the content coming mate, cheers
Great review..... looks like it has great features and great photo and video qualities.. DJI definitely always has me wanted to spend more money.. lol great job... keep it up..
Los Angeles Aerial Image Cheers mate! appreciate your feedback as always, and yes they really nailed this drone, so many features for the price... unbelievable really
DRONE GEAR always great to see the content you put up everywhere! :) yeah I'm good man, hope you are too! Currently my drone is out of order and at the worst possible time as we have a lot of snow here in Scotland!
I think there is something wrong with your mavic air sd reader or card. I had no problem reading the sd card from my pc but on the other hand I've had problems reading the sd card from the usb-c port, so I sent it in for a replacement.
Hi Guys Thanks for the straight shooter vid, Ok so the back sensors are sexy for sure, the protected cam is also a plus BUT... Wifi on a drone? no thanks. one thing u didnt mention is does it have a slot for a sd card and how big of a sd card will it take AND what speed does it need to be? The internal storage tbh 8gb is a joke but as u said better then nothing... as I watching the first part of this vid I was thinking maybe I had bought the wrong drone... Mavic pro... BUT the other half of it made me glad I did... ok so the cam might be better but at the end of the day across 3 batteries we get an extra batterys worth of flight time... and more importantly the mavic pro handles high winds without too much issue. As you put it :In high winds the drone does not perform as well. Guys Thank you for your honest review, at times I thought that you guys are alot more tolerant of the things that really matter but I gues that boils down to personal choice and why you buy a drone in the first place.
At about 14:00 mark you start talking about how you can't take out the memory card and put it in a card reader? You most certainly can! I typically shoot and just put the card into a dock when I get home to copy the files. You really only need to plug the drone in to access files on the internal storage. (Have you set DJI Go 4 to record to the memory card? - the setting defaults to internal memory.)
Interesting, we recorded to the microsd card and it wasn’t reading in our Mac card reader, same happened to Mike Bishop. We’ll check again to confirm. Thanks a lot for letting us know you don’t have this problem, good to know it’s not affecting you!
I used a little Duck HP260 clear tape to add a little tab to the back of my micro SD cards. It doesn't stop the door from closing, and it makes getting the card out MUCH easier.
