Molly, the visuals of what you're presenting in your videos (whether it's your amazing artwork or the incredible places you travel to) is so compelling, you really don't need to be 'perfect' in your narration and voiceovers. we're totally enjoying being able to look at your work and your environment! thank you!! (i love the print of the one misty tree and also the row of trees on a rainy day)
Thank you Alice! I so struggle with striving for perfection, got to keep myself in check and recognise when I’m fixating on the little things! Thanks for your encouragement 🥰
I'm delighted to have been successful in purchasing a copy of "High Tide Sheep 2024" this evening!! Sorry they were a pain for you to print, but I'm so pleased that you decided to issue it as a print - I'm very much looking forward to receiving it in due course. I have a lot of things around my flat in a nautical theme, and this is so unusual that I just had to have it!! I agree that we're more interested in seeing how you work, and the results that you get, rather than a "perfect" video (whatever one of those is!!), and dog-lovers enjoy watching Winnie as well. Just be yourself, you're doing really well, and I'm always amazed at how beautifully your images come out.
Thank you so much for your order! It's okay, I don't mind being tested by my blocks, all part of the learning process! Thank you for your kind encouragement!
I'm happy to say that the print arrived safely today - I'm over the moon that I was able to get a copy of this image. When I saw it in your video I knew that I just HAD to have it!!! 😄 I just need to get a frame for it and decide where it is going to go, so that it's displayed to its best advantage.🤔 Thank you also for the card which was enclosed - that is going into a frame as well!! 😄 Wendy @@mollylemonart
I’m a bit late to this one, but wanted to agree with everyone else: I’m here because of your beautiful art, but I also really enjoy the authentic voice of your videos and the way you talk about your process and your work. I understand the urge to be a perfectionist about what you put out into the world, but please don’t obsess over the editing, that’s not why we’re here! As you get more used to doing this you will start to feel more comfortable and you will find that you become more relaxed on screen and when you edit. The shop release looks really good, the High Tide Sheep is beautiful, and the block itself is a work of art in its own right! Also, I think the original Winnie prints would sell just fine.
Thank you so much for your encouragement, I really appreciate it! I'm pleased you like the high tide print, I was so relieved when that one was finished - it proved tricky!
Adding to the other comments below - you are very talented and we love watching you, so don't stress about being perfect! I really seeing your creative process and the beautiful landscapes. Keep going!
Your videos are always, always interesting. To watch creativity it's a pleasure and I only can say: thank you for sharing and keep doing what you want and what you enjoy 🤗
Thank you Anita, I’m pleased you enjoyed this more relaxed style, on reflection I think I agree! I guess it’s taking a bit of time for me to find my feet when it comes to longer videos ☀️
Keep making your videos and don't worry about being perfect. Viewers who appreciate your artwork and travelogs and Winnie will keep following you! There is enough drama elsewhere. You are interesting and your personality is endearing, so keep up the good work, just as you are!
Your videos are Sublime! As is your artwork! I was so happy to snag a sheep print today! I feel like it’s a message to Be Still, Stay Calm until the waters subside.. . If we thrash about when anxiety hits we could really end up in deep or dangerous waters.. . Thankyou Ever So for making such beautiful videos & art! I know it can be so tiring & stressful! 🤗✨🎨🐑 {with the imperfect prints that don’t make the editions, I wonder if you could offer mystery packs, I certainly would hang an imperfect print, or some may use them like you do to collage etc} have a wonderful day! ✨
Bravo Molly! More time creating and less time editing- I wholeheartedly support this! I’m excited for your Sunday release and hope I’m in time to purchase something; I’m going to be on the road so we’ll see. Wishing you huge success you deserve it! 😊
Molly, a great video....I hope there was no editing!! Seeing all of your wonderful artwork was a great way to spend some time at the end of my day....peaceful yet uplifting!🤗💖
I love watching your videos, where you are and how you work! You don’t need to be perfect - your telling of your story is always very compelling! We are all our worse critics please don’t be so hard on yourself! ♥️ I was just luck to be able to purchase one of you collages to add to one of the prints I have of yours!
I really enjoy your videos, your art and your honesty so I hope you will find a happy medium for editing that suits you and takes less energy. I’ll just keep watching! 😉
Thank you so much, I really appreciate you sticking with me as I work out this new venture! There are so many parts I enjoy and I feel it’ll be worth the initial uncertainty 🥰
Molly, you are so talented. I am just an ordinary person-- not an artist. I wonder if you should have someone else price them for you because I they are worth more. You make the process look easy, but I know it is not. Also I loved your giant painting at the beginning of your video.
Thank you very much for your suggestion! It's so tricky! I think I need to work out my hours/costs and stick to that rather than second guessing what people will be willing to pay and lowering my prices 😅
Beautiful presentation! I like your natural- ness. Maybe Kate Jackson can give you some suggestions. Seems she has been through- what you are frustrated with - editing pricing etc! Hang in there !!! From Michigan.
Your work is beautiful! Don't doubt it. You have a choice when pronouncing lichen, the way you pronounce it, and the way the lichenologist pronounced it. They are both acceptable 😍
Molly I love your work the prints are amazing, I have done linoprinting before and have always loved looking at engravings in old books. I bought some wood engraving supplies with money I got from my birthday, eager to make a start when the wood turns up in the post. I hope you don’t mind me asking you a question what weight of printmaking paper would you recommend. Have you tried gelliplate printing it’s great fun.
Thank you so much! Oh how exciting! I use a Zerkall paper but they don’t make paper anymore sadly so I need to find an alternative! You want a smooth, thin paper. Japanese papers are good!
