It's a good fun golf course, very pleased that they changed the name from Merlin Golf Course to Mawgan Porth. Merlin made it sound a touch like it wasn't a proper golf course and this is a good test of golf (I think originally the farm/land was called Merlin ?). Bit open in places but we don't always want to have tight difficult holes all the time, small greens provide a good challenge. As always golf is best played with good friends, regardless of the course and it's always great fun to play with these 3 guys, we do have a laugh whilst also trying to take time to provide a good video to show the course off. Thank you Mawgan Porth.
After playing alongside Steve, I know how good he is! Even though you are all handicap golfers, the standard in these vlogs is seriously proficient! These aren't easy courses you are playing, yet you do a fantastic job. Just shows you how difficult golf is, Nick looks way better than a 15 handicap golfer. I play off 16.9 and have days when I am miles off my handicap! Very impressive and a great watch
Playing here tomorrow if the weather holds off travelled down from Essex the video give us a great idea of the dangers on the course cheers oggie 👌 Been following you and played some of the Cornish greats like west Cornwall and cape Cornwall GC
It’s a great series this one my friend. Tomorrow on the channel we are back at Cape Cornwall. Make sure you watch all three parts of Mawgan Porth because it’s a great series. When you go there please tell them you watched the videos ok. I am a member there and it’s great for them to know that people watch.
I think you will notice that I am doing more but as I say in these videos, when the lads are playing so well, as a high handicapper there isn’t too much I can do.
Merlin looking nice. Last time I played it in June 22 it wasn’t as nice as previous years for some reason :( I’m not being nasty here , But there’s no way Steve is a 10.8 handicap 🤦♂️😂 who’s cards has he been putting in ? 😂😂😂
They have a new head greenkeeper and lots of work is being done to improve the course… as for Steve, well it’s a lot of pressure playing in camera and to be honest he is a very good player when he doesn’t have to go for everything like in a scramble x
