Yeah man, it’s the second fastest off-road 5th scale. Hoping to beat the fastest soon, which is 103. My buddy is actually the one who hit 103. We’re having a bit of a tough time trying to keep the rc straight lol. The desert floor is a little slippery. And yeah the combo has a lot of potential, even if it’s geared for bashing. We can’t really rely on the manufacturers specs when it comes to amps. My buddy pulled 480 amps with 87% throttle on his max4. Hopefully I get to do another run after this crazy weather lol.

@@thebashfactory3985 480 amps? That's a number I like to hear. To be honest, I bought a Max 4 to upgrade from my MMX8S and to have the ability to run 12s if I want. I also just wanted an ESC I could trust more than Castle's ESCs. I originally had an XLX2, absolute beast until it blew up on mild gearing and on flat ground with the 1100kv castle motor. I'm just worried the punch on a more mild set up may be lacking. As long as it kicks harder than a Max 5 I'll be happy.

@@NepDouble07 I warned people about the 1100 kv castle, I had the same thing happened. The motor was the culprit not the XLX2. Castle hasn’t address the issue with the motor.

I have use it on 8s and on 12s.. I just didn’t want to risk having problems or to be the first one to burn a max 4 lol.

It’s been good man, no issues so far.

I geared my Kraton 34 spur and 32 pinion. You should hit over 90 with that.

I was using 20/58🍻. The motor got really hot after 6 back to back full throttle passes

I get 70 with my losi 5t 8s but my drive shaft keeps braking

The castle 800 kv is rated up to 45000 rpm. Which means you can run up to 13s. 12sX4.2=50.4v and 50.4X800kv=40,320 rpm on 12s. But not all 800 kv is rated the same 🍻

I think a high KV motor with 8s may do you even better top speed my man. Maybe a 1250kv or 1600kv on 8s. But with that being said, that is a beast you have there brother! And just where the heck are you? That looks so dang great for r.c and anything speed or R.C. orientated!! 😄

@@EJ-74 Last time I weighed my dbxl-e 2.0 it was 38 lbs. There is another youtuber and he says his weighs 41 lbs.

@@Blueknight1960 Yep exocaged RC's Vitavon built dbxl is a tank that 7075 chassis is the business, that will never bend. But he only pulled 70.7 out of his, I think it's to much money in that to be a speed runner. I have to say Joe's dbxl is the nicest I've seen yet, however this dude here has the fastest off road rc I've seen
